We loved our stay in this spacious cottage in a picturesque setting. There is all the appliances you need, including a washer/dryer. The location is excellent for the many hikes in the area.
The cottage is in a really great location. Some really good walks from the front door. Nice local Theakstons pub on the doorstep. Very nice food at the 'C B Inn' fifteen minutes walk away.Well appointed and cosy inside the cottage. It is actually my second visit. The kitchen is great. Plenty of equipment and space. Easy to get cooking dinner. It would be nice to have a shower curtain so you could stand while showering. Cosy living/dining area. Nice looking stove. We'd have used it if it was colder. Comfy beds with good mattresses. And if you are lucky you will see the Dipper gathering food in the river from the living room windows.Nice stay, thanks.
We had a lovely six day stay. The downstairs of the cottage was great and the kitchen had everything we needed. A proper shower would have been nice, but we enjoyed the bath. A lovely stay!
A good-sized, clean and well-equipped cottage, loved the fireplace! Walks straight from cottage, sound of stream flowing just next to the cottage was a plus.
The cottage is beautifully positioned in the village. It is very comfortable and the stove is a real bonus on the colder evenings. Lovely walks from the door and a great launch pad to discover the rest of the dales.
The cottage was attractively decorated and furnished and was very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The information handbook was comprehensive. It was very clean and well maintained and was also in a wonderful location with beautiful scenery all around it.The only downside was the bathroom and the lack of shower screen and wall mounted shower.
We had a pleasurable stay at cottage. The walks near by and overall location to access other areas of Dales by road were fantastic. The cottage itself was comfortable and the kitchen /lounge area was modern. The checkin process was seamless and their was informative material available within the cottage about Dales.
Property and location fantastic, lacks a little in comfort, a more comfortable seating area or at least some cushions and the wooden seat outside could also do with some comfortable cushions.Bathroom needs updating ,ie freestanding shower, and a small frying pan.Having said that we have had a fantastic week, so please dont take these comments as anything more than suggestions to make your property even more inviting.
Lovely property, lovely location.
Character pub just steps away.
Great walks and bike rides from the door.
Cottages was excellent difficult shower over the bath if you are tall and a way to make a shower curtain/screen would improve use. Lots of kitchen equipment we could have done with smaller frying pan, baking tray and smaller saucepans.
Front garden could have done with a being tided up.
All small things overall a lovely stay and we would stay again.
Very pretty and had all we needed for self catering. Maybe a baking sheet, smaller saucepan and a baking dish would have been useful - not a big deal!Lovely to be next to the beck, loads of birds to watch and interesting places to visit.Drive from The Tan Inn to Hawes not for the faint hearted, narrow and very steep.Noticed a funny mark in the oven which I couldn't clean so emailed the office and someone came the next day to clean it - excellent. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay. Just to say, I am a right leg amputee but managed fine using my prosthesis most of each day and my wheelchair downstairs in the evenings.
