A lovely home from home
We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend as my son had a three day cycling race.
The house was in great condition, beds super comfy and the welcome package was such a special touch.
This was our first ever holiday home we have hired as a family, and we loved it.
Positives:
Sea views are amazing and access to the beach is easy
Welcome package, really thoughtful and helpful
Beds exceptionally comfy
Very clean
Spacious and airy
Excellent utility and study rooms, nice to have when you have a lot of stuff
Drive way plenty big enough for a van and car
Crockery etc all supplied (and more but see point in the “to be improved list” below)
Plenty of towels
Fantastic appliances, modern and all working
Interior design was brilliant
Negatives/ things to improve:
All bedrooms should have blackout curtains as well as blinds. The car lights and street lights make for a lot of light pollution.
The photo shows a terrace area but not that it’s right on the busy road. Not sure if anyone would ever sit there.
It’s suitable for pets but there is no way of letting them out, without a lead, as the outside area is wide open and right on the busy road.
The road is very busy. You get use to the noise but I wouldn’t choose to stay here if you are looking for peace and quiet. Funnily it was the bus stop that made us question whether to stay, not the road and yet there was maybe four buses all weekend but the road is in constant use, both ways, all day and late into the evening.
The house is very warm! Despite turning the temperature down it was still so warm and we couldn’t work out how to turn off the underfloor heating. Upstairs we used the one and only fan but it would have been like a sauna had the temperature been any warmer.
The Tv sound is very quiet and could do with a soundbar.
The UK car sat nav’s don’t seem to like the address and take you elsewhere. So follow the directions provided, in the welcome email.
A small but worth mentioning point, so you also don’t get caught out, there was no tin opener in the kitchen.
Overall, we loved our stay and thought the house was fab for the six of us (four adults, two tweens) plus dog. Thank you!
