3 generations thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 2 year old and the dogs loved the big garden. House was really well kitted out and very comfortable. All the locals were very friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely week at the house. Great location for the beach, and great garden for the children to play along with plenty of outside space. Great that all the bedrooms were ensuite. Very well equipped with everything you need. Only downside was the lack of parking, but the carpark is only a minute away so wasn't a problem.

Fabulous place

Beautiful spacious place in a very quaint town. Wish I could have stayed a month curled up reading books and hiking the area. It was just perfect for myself, husband and two teen kids.

Great house with relaxing views from a very large back garden. We had planned to tour Cornwall during our stay but loved Kingsand so much we spent our whole stay there. The property manager was very helpful and responsive throughout.

Delightful, well equipped house and garden near everything! Host went the extra Mike helping me find a dogsitter for my daughter’s wedding day. Clean, roomy. Each of 4 bedrooms has an er suite. Fantastic property

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend. The property had everything you could need. Excellent location within a few minutes walk of beaches and pubs which serve good quality food. Also a handy ferry service across to Plymouth. We were lucky with the weather and made use of the very large garden with plenty of garden furniture and large patio area. Would definitely recommend the property.

The property is outstanding. The house is very spacious and tasteful, also very comfortable.Everything is provided. The garden is very large and beautiful with many choices of patio areas for dining etc. as well as a big lawn.it was a treat to all have an en-suite bathroom and the beds were comfortable.We couldn’t fault anything.The village is lovely with many places to eat as well as food shops.You can park easily to unpack or pack the car and everybody is pleasant about it.Lovely house and beautiful surroundings for a holiday.

Great Property in Kingsand

This was our second holiday at this property and our family, as before, enjoyed an excellent stay. The house is well maintained, spacious with an excellent garden. The children enjoyed the wide array of games available including the outdoor skittles! It is located within a 5 minute walk of the nearest beach whilst there are 5 pubs / eateries nearby. Communications with the owner, Charlotte, were timely and most helpful.

Excellent house and location

Got so much in it for a house in a narrow village street. Attractive inside, well-presented and spotlessly clean. All a family will need including children’s plates, cutlery & games/ puzzles. Bedrooms spread over two floors, each with its own en suite. Large garden with lots of seating. Excellent location within a few minutes walk of beaches, deli, pubs but not over commercialised.

Brilliant holiday in a lovely house!

I stayed here with my parents and two children. The house is located in a lovely village a very short walk from the beaches of Kingsand and Cawsand and several pubs, cafes, a bakery and small shop. The house had everything we needed and was very spacious and clean. The garden is huge! There are lovely walks right on your doorstep and you can hire paddle boards and kayaks from Cawsand Beach or catch the ferry to Plymouth. Communication before our stay was excellent and we would definitely return for another stay!

Fabulous Stay

We were absolutely thrilled with this beautiful house. It suited our needs perfectly as we were staying in the area for a family wedding. We really appreciated all the rooms being en-suite and did quite a lot of food prep and cooking in the kitchen. I found everything that I needed as it is very well equipped. Our 12 week grand daughter was very happy in the cot provided and the owner kindly ensured that this was up and ready with a new bottom sheet. We also weren't expecting so much outdoor space. This was a fabulous bonus. It was beautifully clean and we were impressed by the clever use of space as we are holiday cottage owners ourselves. We had a great family weekend here. Being next door to the Spa was perfect! Friendly coffee shops and the pub overlooking the sea were added bonuses.

Wonderful Holiday Home

We have loved staying at Cartref this week. The property is the best we've stayed in for such a large group (8 adults one child). It's well situated, on Fore Street, right next to the local shop and a minute from a great pub, and the pebbly beach. The kitchen/diner is perfect to socialise in the evenings and the lounge is very comfy. The garden is huge! We enjoyed the ample seating on the decking. There are five bedrooms all well decorated and plenty of wardrobes and chest of drawers to unpack. Every bedroom has an ensuite, plus an extra on the ground floor. Wonderful communication from the owner and incredibly clean. Thanks for having us!

A holiday fit for a King(sand)

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Cartref, thank you so much Charlotte! The house was so very spacious (gorgeous en suites, lounge and patios!), beautifully presented and fantastically well equipped, we couldn't have wanted for anything more; we felt like the luckiest people in Kingsand! Charlotte, our host, was so very accommodating; really helpful with information and unintrusively communicative, we could not have stayed in Kingsand for our Daughter's wedding nearby had Charlotte not been so flexible and accommodating, we are all so very grateful and will definitely be returning to Kingsand and Cartref!! The location was perfect for the many beaches, meandering over to Cawsand and for dog walks to Mount Edgcumbe; just a completely idyllic and perfect week. Thank you Charlotte<3.

Over 60'z family of 5

We spent a week in this wonderful home. Walking to the beach in the mornings for a swim, coming back for a shower afterwards. We really appreciated that each room had an en-suite wash room. As an old, modernised property it has its quirks (thin staircase, small showers) but nothing that is of any imoortance when it comes to enjoying each others company. We particularly enyoyed the large dining space with long family breakfasts as each person gradually woke up. We comfortably watched wimedon in the luvjng space. Lazy days in the extensive gardens with comfortable garden furniture. The owner was helpful without being intrusive, a really good mix, i'd highly fecommend it!

a beautiful property in the heart of a lovely village

The property is beautifully decorated and maintained, clean and tidy, with a really fabulous garden and lots of seating throughout - the lovely garden sofas were a particular favourite. Situated on a steep hill, with a number of steps inside the property, there were access issues for members of our party with mobility issues but otherwise the location was fantastic and right in the heart of things, only minutes from the beaches and almost next door to the local shop with fresh bread etc every morning. Each bedroom has an ensuite, which is a real boon, although the layouts were very tight and access difficult for a few of us through small doorways and access points. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, the lounge super-comfortable, and the facilities throughout were very thoughtfully provided. The villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are beautiful and friendly, full of lovely little pubs and shops, gorgeous coves and rockpools, and amazing walks and views. A real little paradise! Our host was attentive and helpful both before our stay and as we arrived, and we had no issues that needed them during our stay.

Lovely house with wonderfully big garden

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in Kingsand. Das Haus ist gemütlich und hat alles, was man braucht, sogar Kajaks und Schwimmwesten, eine umfangreiche Spielesammlung, 2 Kühlschränke und gemütliche Gartenmöbel. Bei Fragen bekamen wir sofort eine Rückmeldung und Unterstützung, wirklich super. Ganz herzlichen Dank!
