A very well located safe and spacious apartment just north of Holetown on the Glitter Bay estate. The shared pool is just steps away from the ground floor terrace and the beautiful beach about a 60 second walk away. The apartment itself had pretty much everything we needed as a group of 5.

Amazing, convenient, beautiful beach, spacious unit (indoor and outdoor). Great location and close to several fantastic restaurants and shops in Holetown. Can't wait to come back again!

Our family of five had a fantastic stay at this property. The listing photos were accurate and gave a true sense of the space, and we especially loved having the beach just steps away. The location was also incredibly convenient, with a grocery store and several great restaurants nearby.The property manager went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. His communication was prompt, and he provided helpful recommendations that enhanced our trip. Daily housekeeping was available, though we chose every other day, which worked perfectly for us.The kitchen was adequately stocked for our needs, though a few additional and higher-quality pans and knives would make it even better.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this property to others.

We recently spent our Spring Break and had a wonderful time. Each day we had breakfast on our patio followed by a day by the beach with a nice lunch at the on-site restaurant. Plenty of lounge chairs with towels for guests. Massey supermarket is nearby (by car) and is well stocked. We made a day trip to Oistens and my son said it was the best fish dinner he has ever had. The live music and friendly people made it a great evening. The condo is very clean and is kept up daily by housekeeping. Some restaurants in Holetown require reservations for dinner so check ahead. The gym is small but has anything you would need for a workout. Tennis courts looked nice so bring your racquets if you play. Pool was kept up and cleaned every day. If we make it back to Barbados we will definitely stay there again.

Excellent always

This was our second visit to Shak Shak. It is a wonderful, well maintained and spacious unit on a great resort. The VRBO photos are accurate and show the unit as well maintained, which it is. The communication with the owner and property manager is professional, friendly and prompt. The on site snack bar serves tasty food, with welcoming staff in a warm environment overlooking the beach. The beach itself is one of the best on the island. Finally, it is a short drive to Holetown which offers many shops and services. We look forward to many return visits.

Outstanding

In our opinion Shak Shak is the ideal vacation spot in Barbados. The unit is very large but still feels cozy. The outside areas are inviting and comfortable with soft living room furniture as opposed to lawn furniture. It is a true outside room as opposed to a porch. The direct access from the ground floor of the unit to the pool, grounds and beach is a plus in our opinion. While the unit is ground floor, the shrubbery surrounding the porch makes it very private. Both the owner and property manager are very responsive and easy to deal with. The small restaurant/bar is handy to have and the staff are very friendly. Glitter Bay does not have the hype, pool music, evening shows of all inclusive resorts. For us, that is part of what makes GB so special. If you are looking for warm and inviting accommodation in a mid sized, pleasant resort you won't find anything better than Shak Shak at Glitter Bay.
