Beautiful spacious home, all the outdoor stuff we wanted….living space/TV, pool and hot tub, water views, bikes, kayaks, fishing, everything! Quiet location, but so convenient to all the beach and restaurant action. Loved it!
We had a great time. The house was exactly as described. It is stocked with everything. The owner was easy to communicate with I highly recommend this property
Great location on canal. Large beautiful outdoor lanai area with pool, spa, television. Well stocked kitchen and pantry. Plenty of supplies for beach. Owner is excellent with communication and makes sure your stay is an awesome experience.
We had a great time staying at the house in Marco Island. The house had everything that we needed and was perfect for my wife and I and our six children. The location is great and we were able to bike to the beach and had everything that we needed to enjoy a great beach day! We would definitely stay here again!
We visited Marco Island over Thanksgiving break. We loved the house and it was nice having the kayaks to use (we didn’t use the paddle boards). The house is stocked with everything you could want and communication with the owner was great (and timely!)
From the minute we walked in we felt welcome. Everything we needed to begin our vacation was there. The location was perfect for our planned activities and the neighborhood is a comfortable place for walking the dog. Kim was prompt to responding to the few questions we had during our stay. There is not a better way to say we enjoyed our time in this home than to say we have already reserved this home for 2025.
This house has everything you need and more. Kitchen is fully stocked. Beds are comfortable. Outdoor patio area is so beautiful and so much fun! Pool, hot tub, outdoor tv, shade and protection from bugs and rain. The neighborhood is quiet and has easy access to everything on Marco Island. This is our second stay and I can’t wait to stay in this house again. The owner is so easy to work with and very helpful!!
This was our 2nd time at this property. Just like last year the house was perfection! Kim is super attentive, sets up the house to make it feel like you are home. Kitchen is fully stocked, plenty of linens, and towels for all activities. We love the organization of it all - little reminders on using and keeping everything clean and in the right place. The pool and spa are the focal point for us as we spent much time outdoors where this plenty of seating for relaxing dining and sun! Inside is peaceful and comfortable too for our evenings! We highly recommend this property!
Outstanding property for a wonderful family holiday
The house is great!
Kim the owner replies immediately to any queries and is most helpful.
The house is fabulous. The photos online don’t do it enough justice!
The outside area is great for chilling, eating and hanging out around the pool. The dock area is good for a bit of catfish fishing. We had an amazing time in Marco. We hired jet skis and a boat another day and went to cape Romano and keywedin island. We also went to Doreen’s for breakfast that was great. The house is well positioned in a very quiet nice street. Thanks to Kim for letting us stay! We hope to be back and I would highly recommend.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We were delighted to have you stay with us. You are always welcome to stay again!

The home is very clean, well maintained, and organized. The house was very stocked so it made it easy since we flew into Fort Myers. Towels (bathing, pool, beach), bikes, beach chairs, pool blow-ups, coolers, plastic wear, fully functional kitchen, two refrigerators, etc. Although we did not use, there are kayaks, paddleboards, an outside fire pit for smores, tennis rackets, beach bags, and fishing poles. It was very easy to rent a golf cart (they delivered and picked-up). Kim is fabulous, very responsive, organized and checks in during your trip to make sure everything is okay. I highly recommend and we will be back for sure!
Very clean , well appointed and maintained.. fully stocked pantry. More glassware., dishwater, utensils and flatware than you could possibly use. anything that breaks is promptly replaced or repaired. Responsive hostess, lovely pool and hot tub. Extra fridge in the garage for drinks. Only downside is you can’t park in the garage due to 8 bikes, extra beach supplies, and linens. Hostess of thngs and will resolve any issues promptly.is right on
Overall house was nice.
Check in was simple. Owner was very responsive. Our stay was unfortunately incredibly rainy. We did find about 5 cockroach’s during our stay between kitchen and bedroom. However, we understand it’s not uncommon in the south. House could use a few minor repairs but nothing that would make us not stay again. We also swept up plenty of dog hair maybe from previous renter (this is pet friendly house but maybe needed swept better). Pool was enjoyed. Fishing was fun off the dock (red, pork, and catfish, were mostly caught). We loved the bikes and enjoyed cruising around the island. Beach chairs were great! Pantry and supplies were stocked well!

We were in touch with this family throughout their stay. The worst possible weather happened during their vacation. It rained almost constantly everyday - not at all common.. Felt so bad for them that we offered a free week for a future visit to Marco Island. They were stuck in the house for much of their stay with grandparents, parents and kids. Offered rainy day activities locations - had the outside frig completely stocked with alcohol and non-alcohol beverages. Sent a plumber to adjust a low-flow toilet as they wanted the bowl to fill all the way up. We asked about what things needed repair as mentioned here - and this is their response: The door handle leading to garage seemed very loose or didn’t close real tight. Door knob to kitchen pantry was weird only pulled up. They were minor and maybe we wouldn’t have noticed if we didn’t have all the rainy days.
The bugs they mention come in from the outside - especially in heavy rain. We have weekly pest control and would have had them visit immediately if they mentioned a problem. House was deep cleaned prior to their arrival and no dogs had been at the house for 2 months prior to this stay.
Very sympathetic to the weather damping their vacation. The items mentioned here are much more a reflection of their weather disappointment.
Being able to spend the entire month of March in this lovely home in Marco was such a great experience . As like all the other commenters, the house was filled with everything you could ask for …and more . The host was quick to respond to our questions and concerns . The outdoor room was definitely the “ room of choice”. We spent most of our waking hours there. The street is most lovely with nice neighbors who actually spoke to you !
The area on the lanai allowed our dogs to see what was going on , and allowed us to conveniently let they out .
Kim had supplied ample + towels and conveniences so we were totally set to enjoy her home . Thank you for allowing us to use your home for a relaxing month away from the cold .
My husband and I along with our three kids and two of their friends (ages 17-20) had the most wonderful week at Marco. This was our second time to the island, but our experience at the Adirondack Owl was beyond expectations
The house, pool area and dock were gorgeous, exceptionally clean and well maintained. Kim has thought of everything!
The beds were comfy with lots of extra pillows. The bathroom was amazing! The sectional sofa and extra throws made for a great spot to get cozy and read a book or take a nap. The kitchen was stocked with all the conveniences of home…and then some! The laundry room had everything you could imagine. The garage was full of all the fun things for the beach. Bikes, backpack chairs & umbrella, floats, beach towels/blankets, cooler, cup holders, fishing poles & more! The lanai was the best. The sitting area, loungers, grill, hot tub and pool were perfect for anytime, day or night. The fire pit was the perfect place to enjoy s’mores. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. And when I had to do a little work, the desk area came in handy. Plenty of towels for everyone, lots of closet space with hangers and phone chargers everywhere!
It was all the little extras that made this place PERFECT! Kim really has outdone herself with this house to give her renters the very best experience ever! You really just need your clothes and a toothbrush!

Paradise!
This place has everything! The house itself is wonderful- light & open &.beautifully decorated. The kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need including a starter supply of paper goods and other helpful items. The owner contacted me by text the day before we arrived to let us know the house was ready and she stayed in contact with us throughout our visit. The few minor issues we had were addressed immediately and did not affect our stay at all.
Now on to the best part......the patio/outdoor living area. We left a snowstorm in Ohio to arrive at this little slice of paradise in January. The weather cooperated and was sunny and mid-70s all week long. We pretty much lived outside the entire week enjoying the heated pool & spa, lounging on the dock in the sun, streaming music through the built-in Sonos speaker system (just download the app, it's that simple) and in the evenings snuggling up with a blanket to watch a little TV.....outside....in January. It doesn't get any better than that!
Marco Island is beautiful and we enjoyed the beaches and several restaurants. It is very close to lots of outdoor activities - we took a dolphin/shelling boat tour and visited several parks and nature sanctuaries, including a drive up to Manatee Park in Fort Myers where we had the pleasure of seeing more manatees than we could count!
Thank you, Kim, for this wonderful vacation home. We really appreciated every last detail and how easy it was to work with you. We'll be back!

We love renting properties and have always had great experiences. This house was nice, but from the moment we got there we were very overwhelmed by the owner constantly messaging us and telling us that we had left a door open for too long, that we didn’t turn the spa on exactly the way she wanted. We honestly felt like we were being “watched” and it was a little creepy to be honest. We did as much laundry as we could when we left but she was upset that we hadn’t washed all the linens and towels. If you don’t mind being completely hounded and micromanaged then this house would be great, but it was honestly a pretty stressful experience. We own rentals and own a lake home in Wisconsin, so I feel like we are overall good guests but I think the bottom line is this is NOT a good property for families. We had rented golf carts, which were supposed to be picked up on Saturday (we checked out a day early), and when they weren’t picked up on time she was furious. We generally don’t like to leave things on bad terms so we offered to pay her for the extra laundry and leaving the golf carts (by accident) since she was so upset about the linens and towels, but she told my husband she would not take anything. Overall a nice house but not worth the stress! Our friends rented a house over on Lamplighter that was a much less stressful experience so we will probably look there for next time!

53 five star reviews in a row - many return guests and this message sent to me by this reviewer an hour before departure from our house “Thanks. It's all been wonderful! Such a lovely house. It's been so long since we took a vacation and my husband loved the house and setup so much he only left twice the whole time 😩”. After they left, we discovered the damage they caused - the mountain of laundry - the missing and broken items - the 2 six seater golf carts that would block the driveway until 2 days after they left and an important item that was left in the bathroom that we needed to overnight to them. It was very clear to the cleaners that this renter had far exceeded the contracted number of guests. I wanted to discuss the issues with them instead of just giving them a thumbs down on VRBO. A mistake. Laurie’s husband aggressively accused me of trying to get money out them. Wanted to understand what happened at the house and if we could come to a fair agreement. The spa - they left it on for 15 hours and overnight- I check the systems remotely first thing everyday be sure the hvac is running properly and the pool systems are all good. I sent a text to remind her to turn it off at the end of the night so the pool filter and waterfall can start in the am. For 3 days - they left the sliders to the pool area open for 10 hours a day. The sensors on the doors keep track. They had exceeded the electric allowance of $100 for a week in 3 days. I let them know if they would close the doors going forward -I would not charge the additional electric charge. They disconnected the modem and I had to send my tech guy to the house to fix. This is the “watching” they refer to - systems are all able to be accessed remotely to assist guests. They became upset after departure when I tried to find out their side of all of these issues and come to an agreement on the charges for the laundry- the mailing service and the damage. We have hosted many families- all lovely and respectful. This is the first time we had a renter behave this way. It is sad. We strive to treat the families and groups that rent from us with care and respect. We provide many amenities and clear communication. Yes, to maintain a first class experience- we have guidelines and agreements. With very few exceptions all of the guests have treated the house appropriately. This is a group that did not show any respect to the property and submitted a very dishonest review
Beautiful home and accommodated all 7 of us very well along with all the equipment extras. Marco Island bounced back surprisingly well after hurricane Ian and we enjoyed the beach and restaurants. We loved going to Wootons Everglades airboat rides and it was so educational.
Our stay at Kim’s property could not have been more perfect. She has thought of every amenity to make you feel at home. The decor, location and attention to detail make this a very special place. We were so happy to spend the week here making wonderful memories.
We stayed a couple of weeks after hurricane Ian. Our host updated us constantly before and after. Repairs were completed before our stay it was as if it never happened. A lovely home ,very well equipped and comfortable.
Marco island is a lovely area and the house is located in a peaceful area. Our host was always available and was most helpful. Would recommend this accomodation highly

About the host
Hosted by Kim Sackett
We are a family that likes to travel. And we also like to spend time on the water and beautiful beaches. Living and working in the Washington, DC keeps us busy. Marco Island keeps us sane! We look to retire to this beautiful spot, but until then we will share it with those who visit. We have also rented many vacation properties and have looked to add amenities to our house that we like to have available when renting. But, we are always open to recommendations.
Why they chose this property
After visiting for several years, we fell in love with Marco and the friendly community. This is small town America where everyone says hello. As you cross the Jolly Bridge, you can feel the stress melt away. It is also a town of active people who are walking, running, biking, boating and enjoying the outdoors. We were lucky to find a great real estate agent who brought us to this beautiful street. What we love about the house - the street has many mature tall palms and really pretty homes. The location gets you off from the main road on the canal in a peaceful setting with still being a 5 minute trip to the beach. The open floor plan of the house makes it comfortable for the family to hang out together. The Lanai and pool area is really large and has a show-stopping view. The outdoor living room is under cover making it useful in all kinds of weather conditions. The kitchen with space for the table and counter seating has great counter space and a walk in pantry. The garage is side entry and plenty of storage and access to the pathway to the boat dock.
What makes this property unique
The heated pool is large for the island with a 9 foot deep end. The spa has a calming waterfall feature. From the front porch chairs you look across the water towards the JW Marriott and spectacular sunsets. Two fruit trees - lime and grapefruit off the lanai door. The views from the dock down the canal are beautiful. The only empty lot near our home is across the street and is host to a family of burrowing owls. Close gulf access by water. Fishing right from the backyard dock with fish cleaning table.
