A lovely stay!

We had a lovely stay at Manor Lodge Cottage. It was clean, well equipped and the bedding and towels were a really great quality. The location is fantastic for visiting all the lovely Cotswolds villages and towns. The only negative is the cottage is in need of a new kettle, it had very heavy limescale and wasn't usable. Other than that we had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay again.

4 days in Paxford

A beautiful cottage that’s ideal for a couple. My favourite part of the Cotswolds is the northern area around moreton and this cottage allows great access to all of the villages around. Paxford itself is a blink and miss it sort of place with the pub closed and no shop it’s a little lacking on that front. It would have been nice to have the basics left as we couldn’t get in until 1600 pm, bread and milk would have been a nice touch but unfortunately this want the case.

The property was excellent, beautifully decorated and a lot of care and attention to provide a very homely stay. Location perfect to get around our favourite places. Have booked to stay again in September as it was so nice

Manor Lodge Cottage is a perfect cottage in a quiet location, convenient for local amenities.

The property was in excellent condition - clean, well decorated with lovely art work, throws, cushions etc. There was lots of hot water when we needed it and very easy to use appliances. The garden was very pretty and we enjoyed sitting on the sheltered patio. The beds were very comfortable, with lovely bed linens. The position of the cottage in a quiet village but close to the amenities of Chipping Camden was excellent. We visited lots of gardens during our short stay and Manor Lodge Cottage was very convenient for this. I would highly recommend it.

Lovely cozy cottage in perfect location

The cottage was lovely, very cozy and perfect for us, a couple with two children. There's lots to do on your doorstep and surrounded by beautiful countryside but very quiet village. We had everything we needed and the property manager was helpful with our queries.

Pretty cottage

Well appointed cottage in a pretty village. Unfortunately, the local pub is under renovation but it was a lovely stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. It's a shame about the pub being closed though.

A dream of a cottage

It was the most comfortable, well maintained and ideally located cottage for us, in the Cotswolds. Would highly recommend.

lovely cottage

The cottage was very well equipped, with a welcome hamper provided and fans as it was very hot. Good position and within easy reach to many attractions and walks. Perhaps the boiler does not have to be on 24/7 as it made the smaller bedroom very hot, though would be great in the winter. We did not find the sofa and chairs very comfortable, pillows were lumpy and hard, though beds comfortable and the outside bins need to be emptied as rubbish was stacked up. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

A very nice house on good location

This home in Paxford was well cared for and clean. Cozy and comfortably furnished. Everything needed for a nice week was available. The location is excellent; near Chipping Cambden and Broadway. Many beautiful villages in the area. Was very suitable for us to go cycling from. Very good price-quality ratio.

Great stay - Lived up to expectations!

A lovely cottage which was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Appreciated large king size bed and many thoughtful touches such as Christmas decorations and detailed information manual. Enjoyed the log fire and streaming services for cold evenings. Conveniently located close to Moreton in Marsh and Chipping Campden and local pubs. Will be good when the Churchill Arms reopensin the village.

Manor Lodge cottage in Paxford

We had 4 nights in Manor Lodge Cottage in June . The cottage was very clean and comfortable . We arrived to find milk in the fridge , butter , bread and there was plenty teabags , oh and some very nice eggs! The garden was useful and patio as the weather was hot . The location was brilliant for Hidecote , kiftsgate , Snowshill Manor and many more National Trust properties . Broadway not far away and Chipping Camden . There is a very good farm shop and cafe 5 mins away on the road to Erbington if you have forgotten anything . Will be going there again !

Beautiful cosy cottage in a beautiful village

Beautiful cottage. Fully equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Cozy beds, well equipped kitchen supplied with bread, eggs, milk and jams. Garden was enclosed and safe for our dog. The location is wonderful on the edge of the village. Every morning and evening we were so lucky to see deer from the garden gate. The surrounding area is outstanding with many walks from the cottage. We had a wonderful stay and if I’m honest I didn’t want to leave. If you are looking for a private beautiful cottage in a chocolate box quiet village location then look no further. It’s a gem.

Perfect getaway

The cottage is lovely, clean and has everything you need for a quiet getaway. A couple of very minor things need fixing. Upstairs toilet seat needs tightening and the light over shower very temperamental- came on intermittently. Neither of which detracted from our stay.

A perfect stay!

We had a wonderful and perfect stay in Paxford. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and yet very practical. I would particularly note: - a real cloakroom at the entrance with an annex containing WC, washing machine, and super dryer - a very well-appointed house with everything you need (dishwasher, coffee press, microwave, oven, clothesline, hoover, etc.) - a dog-proof garden - safe stairs (the only one of the 7 places we stayed in) - a very well-designed bathroom with a towel warmer to hold several towels. Shower AND bath. 2 WCs in total in the house. Overall, a feeling of comfort and coziness. It's a place you want to stay in, not just use to spend the night. We were 3 adults but never felt cramped. The lounge is superb. We stayed for six nights and hope to return for longer next time. The three of us as well as our furry friends were sad to leave 2 Manor Lodge Cottage...

A Lovely Cottage with Everything one needs in a beautiful Location

What an amazing company, from the first moment of my booking to the last now I am home. I cannot go into detail but the staff here are incredibly helpful and really do pull out the stops to give the best holiday experience that one requires. I cannot thank them enough for helping me the way they did. The lady that helped me book was amazing. Now the accommodation - Private beautifully set out garden and spacious patio. This allowed me to do my morning rounds of Tai Chi under the beautiful Cherry Blossom also room for our son to play in the garden. The cottage is beyond reproach, it outshines every house I have ever holidayed in for having everything one could need, especially in the kitchen. Arriving to A Loaf of Bread, Milk, Tea, Coffee and Sugar, Butter and Eggs, dishwasher tablets. Just about everything one needs to get over the first few mornings at arrival. A very well set out large kitchen diner. The cottage is very comfortable with a King-size and Double Beds in the two bedrooms. Very airy and furnished very nicely. Big tv with firestick, central heating and logs to get started for a fire if needed. The Ambience of this Cottage was just perfect for us and in a most lovely part of the Cotswolds’’. We prefer being away from towns so it was in a perfect location for us and although at the side of a quiet road never heard any traffic due to double glazing. There was lots of information in our brochures from Bolthole Retreats as well as in the property of places to visit (some with discounts), places to shop and eat as well as places of interest to visit. Downside is only that I personally would have preferred something thicker on the upstairs Bathroom windows for using Bathroom at night as not sure if people passing may be able to see in. Also never personally see the need for 8 pillows and cushions on each bed, cupboard space to put them away though. If you want somewhere to Chill and relax and recharge as well and visit the amazing places to visit here, then this is Perfect.

Small but very comfortable cottage

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is an old cottage that has been neatly modernised and has everything that you need. The location is fantastic and we had great walks on Dovers Hill, around Broadway and the tower, and to/from the Ebrington Arms (great food- definitely worth a visit).

Beautiful cottage. Great location. Great booking through Bolthole Retreats

A beutiful spacious and clean cottage in a lovely village and great location for exploring other parts of the Cotswolds. Pub selling great food within easy walking distance. Also enjoyable 30 min walk to Vegetablematters which has a great farm shop and cafe that also caters for vegan/dairy free/glueten free etc. MAny pubs, restaurants and cafes in the area are very dog friendly too. A visit in the chilly, rainy season didn't stop us enjpoying great walks and trips out. Will definitely return. We bookled the cottage through Bolthole Retreats online which was easy to use and the guest portal gave all the information and payment access required. Any questions were answered promptly too. Great Customer Service.
