Beautiful
Cottage was spotless and in an ideal location. Television had no aerial, could only watch catch up TV through apps which wasn’t a major issue but if you wanted to watch the news or settle down of a night to watch soaps etc was disappointing.
Parking was ok for us as we managed to get a space but I can imagine in the summer this would be really difficult and would cause a problem for some. We will definitely return but would look at other accommodation if in the summer due to parking.

The Lavender Cottage was straight out of a post card. The spiral staircase was difficult to navigate with large suitcases but it worked out just fine. Everything about the cottage was wonderful. The only thing to mention is that YOU NEED TO READ THE WELCOME BOOK. We were so excited to start our vacation that we skipped it at first. There are two keys. One for door and one for a closet that houses the trash bin. Yah… we missed that and we only brought one key (the wrong key) with us as we locked the door. It was impossible for us as Americans to dial the emergency number (doesn’t make sense to us either) but we had a wonderful hostess at a local restaurant that let us borrow her phone. The whole thing was a comedy of errors that was 100% our fault. We panicked and were ready to call the police when we FINALLY got through to the host. Again… this was our fault and just recommend reading the welcome book before locking the door behind you. Oh! And there is no parking. Like ZERO. We ended up parking about a 10 minute walk away and spent an extra 20 pounds per night for the inconvenience. But it was all worth it. Great place in a great location!

Comfy stay in amazing location!
What a great stay at Lavender cottage, we stayed for 3 nights recently with our toddler at it was so well set up. Great service and location too, just a short (beautiful) walk away from the town centre. It was so cosy and great with a kitchen and courtyard. We would definitely stay again!

Lavender Cottage
A lovely place to stay, very comfortable with all amenities close by.
A great place to visit the Cotswolds from and nice to 'chill out' in the evenings in front of the fire.
A real 'home from home'
Being dog friendly a great bonus too!

Lavender Cottage is absolutely lovely. It hardly seems real. Amazing location close to great restaurants and the adorable downtown, but quiet and just slightly tucked away. 10/10. We can’t wait to come back!!

Lynn, thank you so much for your lovely review! Lavender Cottage really is a beautiful property situated right in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water. We are glad you had an enjoyable stay and we hope to welcome you back again soon.
Had a wonderful stay! Although close to the main area it was very very quiet. On some rainy days I sat in and read a book . My favorite was sitting in the kitchen with the half door open listening to the birds and cows. Very comfortable and clean.

In a very good location, and very cute! Parking could be tricky if you didn’t get lucky, but not a problem on our trip. Definitely on the smaller side, but for a couple of close friends it was really lovely!

This is a wonderful small cottage just steps away from the path along the stream in Bourton. It has a small windy staircase to the bedrooms that may trouble some but the house is warm cozy and well appointed. We would love to stay again.

This gem of a location was absolutely perfect to enjoy the Cotswolds. Even if you didn’t have a vehicle this is a great place to stay. Lots of walkable areas. Pubs 3 min walk away (our fav was Kingsbridge). Tons of quaint little shops. The cottage is set up for a lovely stay.

Nice and spacious cottage in an excellent location in the heart of Bourton. The decor could use a spruce and tidy up. But the location and amount of room you get makes the price worth it.

The check in time at 5pm seemed late for an arrival time. For a short stay this made quite a difference. Parking also was interesting but overall a super location and good stay
