Bears, bears, bears! Minutes from downtown, book early for summer
We try to make our home feel like home away from home, rustic but very homey. We try to supply everything you will need except your food and clothes. We don't want you to have to worry about bringing everything under the sun. We provide detergent for both washer and dishwasher, spices, trash bags, etc. Our home has 5 bedrooms, 2 full baths. Two bedrooms upstairs where living and kitchen area's are with a full bath, both queen size beds with flat screen tvs's. Large stone fireplace. Downstairs has a full bathroom, two bedrooms with queen size beds and one with two twin beds. Separate laundry room also downstairs. We have a deck overlooking the woods with a dining set that seats 6, an electric grill and a 5 person hot tub. We tend to have a lot of bears to see from the deck. Parking for 6 cars. All brand new appliances, new recliners, flat screens in all bedrooms and unlimited wifi. We are very close to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, which does make it a bit steep getting to our cabin, but it is a beautiful drive. We are 7 minutes from downtown and the entrance to the Smoky Mountains National Park. Both levels have entrances to eliminate the extra steps for people who have trouble with them. We have tons of new upgrades and are always doing more, the entire house has new flooring, master bedroom has a new bedroom set also. We are an actual vacation rental by owner, no middle man. I personally answer any and all questions via my personal cell or email. We hope you will rent from us and treat our home like it was your own. We know you'll want to stay again. In the winter months it is advisable to have a four wheel drive we are located in the city limits where the roads are maintained and salted but with unpredictable whether we can’t guarantee that you’ll be able to get there in those months. We have a slight Mountain View From the cabin it’s more wooded but the view is almost everywhere you look while driving to and from the cabin. We do have a 5 night minimum over Thanksgiving, Christmas and 4th of July. Minimum age to rent is 25. SLEEPS 10 people. DUE TO PAST GUESTS AND CARPET NEEDING REPLACED WE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ALLOW PETS AND WE HAVE A RING DOORBELL TO CHECK GUESTS UPON ARRIVAL.

Everything was wonderful. Much nicer in person, the online pictures do not do it justice. The hot tub was nice and relaxing after our long days. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent cabin and everything just as described. We were blessed to have an up close experience with a curious bear our second night. Highly recommend this spot.
We had a wonderful time at Bears Bears Bears! House is just as described and was perfect for our group. Saw bears everyday! We did not find the drive to the house as bad as lots of reviews said.
We stayed six nights here, and loved it. The house is very spacious clean and decorated with so many bears!! We saw one bear near the house down in the woods. We would definitely stay there again!!
It was a girls trip. We loved the stay. The owner was quick to reply to my messages. When seen a bear every day. Their was plenty of room for 8 of us. The kitchen had everything we need.
We had three generations on this trip and the house was perfect. But do heed the warnings of locking cat doors, our neighbors didn’t and they hadn’t been there 30minutes and a bear was in their vehicle. The bear came over to our cabin and looked inside our truck but didn’t scratch it or anything. Our trip was a great relaxing time with family
This was a great cabin. It had a lot of bedrooms and was very clean. It was very peaceful outside and nice to sit on the balcony. If you sit outside at the right times you will see at least one bear.
My family stayed the week between Christmas and New Year. The night we arrived it snowed making driving tricky, but we made it up the mountain in time to watch the snow fall from the hot tub! Wendy was great at making sure we had everything we needed for our stay and checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable. Great cabin, beautiful views!
Our trip to Italy fell through, Gatlinburg was within driving distance for all of us as an alternative. The hairpin turns on steep roads were a challenge but we managed. Dinners were at the cabin and our days were spent exploring. Fun trip.
Great home for my family of 10. We all loved watching the bears and hanging out on the porch. Wendy was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. Looking forward to our next visit. For some reason, the bears really liked the back of my truck.

Disliked: Listing accuracy
When we first arrived we were not impressed with the parking. 2 of the parking areas are right beside the road. One is as you top a hill and go around a a turn. Too close to the road for comfort. The when you open the front door if you are not careful you could walk right into the stairway to the basement. The internet wasnt working and when they did get it working the wifi still did not work. The stairs from the lower parking area to the front pourch are narrow with vines growing on them and a rough splintery rail. The stairs going to the upper parking area seem to be newer but the rail again is old and splintery with no midway support so it is wobbly. There are air conditioner units in the kitchen and livingroom and ine bedroom upstairs. Nothing downstairs and it was hot even witb the ceiling fan and free standing fan. There are also no closets or dressers or chests downstairs and not enough room to leave suitcases open on the floors.Even with the internet working, none of the downstairs TVs could connect it. So only one TV really was able to be used. The place was clean enough and it was eaay to contact the host. We didnt use the hot tub but it seemed to be in good working order and clean.
Beautiful location, lots of room and very cozy, clean and comfortable. Our family had a wonderful time and will definitely book this property again next year! Only suggestion would be for more than 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for our stay, which was 3 nights. Also, at least an extra roll of paper towels in kitchen.
This was our first time visiting during the Winter. We must say it was an absolute enjoy the entire week. We were greeted with 8 Bears on our 4th Day. Watching the cubs play and climb trees had to be the highlight of the trip. It was a beautiful time and a beautiful place. The cabin was perfect and the fire place was a blessing. We look forward to visiting again next year. I highly recommend this cabin and area. It is a very short drive to Gatlinburg and the scenery is pleasant.
We booked this property for a sibling get away. We arrived on Saturday and left the following Saturday. We had an amazing time and seen multiple Bears everyday. The peoperty was quiet and comfortable. We spent the entire week together on the balcony watching the bears and only left the house once to go to the store and once for Dinner. The owner was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Check in was very easy. I would definitely book this property again.
We enjoyed our stay at your cabin with our children and grandchildren. No bears visited us at the cabin as others have noted , but we did all see one on the Cades Cove tour. We had everything we needed for our stay at the cabin and enjoyed our time together.
The hot tub was a huge hit for all ages and the large table and chairs gave us room to play cards and board games altogether. I would definitely recommend this cabin if you have a group - the bedrooms on lower level were perfect for kids and grandkids while upstairs bedrooms allowed grandparents and aunt to rest peacefully .
We enjoyed our stay soo much! it was exactly what the property was described as. We encountered multiple bears, every single day. The last day we did have to call the police to scare the bears off so we can leave. They came quickly. Bears can climb quickly! even up those tiny wooden beams . the AC worked great, we did use the laundry which was great also. my kids loved the hot tub, we didnt use it on day 5,6,7 tho. We will be definetly be booking this cabin again!

Why they chose this property
We purchased our first home in Gatlinburg in 2006 and have loved it, when we had the opportunity to get another we did! This one is so cozy and warm and has lots of room for families to spread out.
