About this property
Central Bath Skandi Apartment – Artizan's Nest
My place is really central and good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers (high speed internet) and longer term stays.
I have another apartment below, Artizan's Den, and they can be rented together
An urban dweller's delight, this cool skandi–style one bedroom apartment puts you at the centre of exciting city events. This petite period 3rd-floor apartment above Artizan hairdressers has a chic grey and white scheme, grey wood effect flooring throughout and a contemporary kitchen and bathroom.
The space
My apartment is minimal in decor and decorated with calming colours. Absolutely everyone has been really pleased when I have shown them in as it is fresh, clean and tidy. We used an interior designer when we renovated the flat so everything is of a nice specification; from the quartz, German-engineered worktops to the Italian LED lighting.
The living space combines kitchen, dining and living areas in one cosy space with a large window onto the city below. A contemporary white fitted kitchen with white granite top has an induction 4 ring hob and electric oven, a small fridge and small separate freezer compartment, a small dishwasher and a washing machine combined with dryer. An alcove utility cupboard in this room has a microwave and at the main entrance, a larger utility cupboard has the WiFi unit.
There is a sofa for 2 and a wall mounted TV on the opposite wall with DVD in the cupboard. The TV has a Roku unit for all catch-up TV Apps and a Netflix account. The sofa converts to a sofa-bed for 1. (If the sofa-bed is required please enquire as additional bed linen charges of £35 will apply. Please also note that the bathroom is ensuite to the main bedroom)
A round dining table to seat 4 is placed beside a large original sash window from where it’s fun to watch the lively scene of cocktail bars, restaurants, shops and night spots built into the surrounding grand Georgian terraces.
The comfortable and tranquil double bedroom at the back of the property overlooks roofscapes and the hills to the South of the city. There is a 4’ 6” double bed, small wardrobe and large chest of drawers. A chic compact contemporary tiled en-suite has a good sized shower, a hand basin with storage under and WC with shelf over.
Guest access
Guests can access the whole apartment.
Artizan's Nest is a self-contained apartment on the top floor of a 300-year-old Georgian building. We will supply you with keys for the street door which is on George Street and you will climb the stairs to the apartment which has its front door and keys.
Interaction with guests
I will supply my mobile number but there is always someone on the floors below the apartment during the daytime who can help you.
Other things to note
The bathroom is en-suite so anyone using the sofabed will need to go through the main bedroom to use the bathroom.
We are so central that you do not need a car at all. You will be able to do everything in Bath on foot and the bus and rail links to other places are superb.

About the host
Hosted by Shelley Carr
I have lived and worked in Bath for over 30 years. I love this city. I have two teenage sons and a fun and kind husband. I have a beautiful Cocker Spaniel and a Cavapoochon dog. We run, cycle and photograph in the town and the countryside together.
I am an Art Director by profession and I also act as Business Manager for my husband's hair salon which is in the same building as the apartment.
Why they chose this property
We have been renovating our 300-year-old Georgian building since we purchased it in 2014. I am really pleased with our achievement and have really loved designing and choosing all the new fittings.
What makes this property unique
Both of my holiday apartments are serene, curated and calming but the main benefit is their location. They are literally a few minutes walk from all of the main attractions, beautiful walks, shops, and some of the best bars and restaurants the city has to offer.
