Had a good hassle-free break

Comfy and well equipped. Owners who lived adjacent were very helpful with identifying place for evening meal and dog friendly beaches (also how to use the TV). The Cornish weather wasn&#39t brilliant during our stay

Highly recommended comfortable holiday accommodation

The hosts were warm and friendly. After a long journey we appreciated the welcome tray and the updates by the hosts about entry. The property was very comfortable, a new well equipped kitchen and a new bathroom. The conservatory was an added bonus used by all the family. Polgooth is everything you can wish for with a village shop and a lovely pub both within walking distance. I would recommend this property.

THANKS for a fantastic, friendly break away in lovely Polgooth.

We just loved everything! Excellent accommodation, very well designed and organised so easy to get around and manage. Parking directly outside in a very quiet and beautiful location. Local shop has a wide range of products as well as postal facilities. But, ‘must do’ is to visit the famous Polgooth Inn - just a short stroll down the road. Delicious home made foods and great selection of beers, wines etc. Finally, I am originally from the village myself (we lived in the bungalow next door and my uncle actually built Jesmonde) so a real treat to return to such a wonderful place, celebrate my birthday and meet up with the family.Lots memories xxxx thanks again. We’ll be back! Nothing. All perfect for us.

Well equipped, spacious and comfortable cottage

Spacious, clean, with new furnishings with well equipped modern kitchen. Nice conservatory and outdoor area which would be great in summer. Good hot shower. Friendly and helpful owners next door. Polgooth Inn which serve nice food few mins walk away. Nothing really except that there is novery weak mobile network service in the area but there is In-house wifi service. Some noise from upstairs when the owners have visitors

A nice place to stay with a dog, but only with a car.

Beautiful holiday home with a beautiful bathroom and bedrooms. The kitchen appears new and large and is well equipped. Coffee, tea and biscuits were available as a welcome. Beautiful winter garden in the living room. Friendly landlords who live right next door and have a dog themselves. The village shop, which is within walking distance, is well stocked. Unfortunately, the oven was very dirty, both the trays and the rack. We only used it to bake bread rolls using baking paper. The house is not easy to find and is far from St. Austell.

Very quiet and comfortable accommodation.

Modern and functional kitchen for a short stay accommodation. The house was warm and comfortable and the area is very quiet. Our hosts couldn&#39t do enough for us and we felt very welcomed. There is a pub walking distant away however the pub food is only fair. There are heaps of restaurants a short drive away that are excellent. The Kingswood Restaurant is only 5 minutes drive away and is very good. St Austell is nearby so everything that you need is close without the noise and rush of a town. Foot fall from the host and their family upstairs is noticeable but all was quiet by the time we went to bed each day. The WiFi was reasonably fast but we had a few instances where it stopped working for a short time. There is no mobile phone reception if you are with Vodafone but despite Vodafone advertising that they have 99% coverage, Vodafone coverage anywhere in Cornwall is patchy at best.

Hi Robert, Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review, it is really appreciated. We are pleased to see that the hosts made you feel so welcome & we appreciate your suggestions for food & places to go, thank you. WiFi & signal can be temperamental in Cornwall but we will speak with the owners to get them to double check their internet connection. Thanks again!
