Loved Hope Cootage. Very comfortable and well laid out, well equipped to a high standard. Youlgreave is a great base with 3 pubs and an endless number of beautiful footpaths.
Hope Cottage was a really lovely property. There were some lovely touches with a very helpful welcome folder and excellent welcome pack for both human and doggy guests.
All amenities were available and we enjoyed the location close to Bradford Dale and Bakewell.
Kirsty communicated with us before and during our stay, which was helpful.
We would highly recommend Hope Cottage.
Hope Cottage is a beautiful cottage with all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay. The cottage is absolutely lovely inside and made for a wonderful stay. It is as pictured and lived up to the description. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was top notch. Hosts Kirsty and Martyn were helpful and easy to deal with. There is a great pub within a 30 second walk with great food. We were doing day trips all over the Midlands and the cottage was a great centralized location for us. We would love to stay at Hope Cottage again.
We spent 3 nights in Hope cottage as a family of 5. The cottage is lovely- spotless, tasteful, well equipped, including great shower, bedding, etc.
Youlgreave is a great location for exploring the Peak District, with a couple of shops and pubs of its own and a short drive from Bakewell if you want more.
Plenty of walks from your doorstep (e.g.Limestone Way) or a short drive away, along with great cycle routes and cycle hire.
Communication about check in/out was really clear and helpful.
We would definitely return and recommend Hope Cottage.
The cottage was all we had hoped for. It was clean and comfortable but homely with a well equipped kitchen and a welcome basket both for us and our dog.
The village of Youlgreave is a few minutes walk. There are well stocked shops so we had no need to drive to a supermarket and the village pubs serve good food and even take away fish and chips.
Our grown up children explored the local bouldering crags, while we found good walks for our dog and small grandson on our doorstep.
Even in wet cold January we found lots to enjoy.
