Family stay just after New Year

Great place to stay for long walks on the beach and a visit to the book shop.

Nice clean rooms. Loft bed needed to be moved slightly because the person banged her head on the beam when getting up. We moved the bed back when we left. Kitchen was very well equipped. Good location for town and restaurants.

Name of property not as listed. Only one shower (2 listed). One bathroom is en-suite (not mentioned). Dishwasher broken. No T-towels to dry dishes, no drainer on sink. Only 2 toilet rolls for 6 adults.Boiler broke down (but fixed that day). Rubbish bins full. TV remote needs batteries. Otherwise a nice place and handy for town.

Style over substance, I’m afraid. Gorgeous apartment, but not as advertised. Fourth bedroom is in open sided mezzanine level, so no privacy or lie-ins. Despite the listing stating two showers there is only one and it is in the en-suite off the main bedroom so inconvenient for the whole party. One tea towel which I didn’t even find until after 4 days, only two hand towels so nothing for hand washing in kitchen and not really enough for 4 people for a week and would have been awful for 8 people as advertised. (Weirdly there were 3 oven gloves, but they were all filthy)No recycling facilities. Master bedroom mattress and pillows flat and lumpy. When I tried to make contact to ask about these things I just got an auto-reply email which was really disappointing as I had shared my contact details and so assumed there might be the possibility of two-way communication. None of these things were enough to make us leave early, but it could have been so so much better, and if I had known about the shower and mezzanine bedroom I would certainly have booked somewhere else in the first place.

“Workhouse/ Wagonway “

Spotlessly clean, very spacious apartment,design decor very good . Tiny things to mention - property is actually called “ Wagonway” not “ Old Workhouse “ so can confuse when locating it . Would be good if enough dishwasher tabs were supplied - as a say tiny things
