Make memories in this uniquely beautiful & spacious harbour themed Victorian 5B room house, sleeps up to 10 (incl.dbl sofa bed in lounge.) The house is on a quiet road, less than 5 mins walk to the beach and pier, train st. central bus/coach station and Dartmouth steam train + 2 mins walk to city centre amenities (supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, cafes.) Trains/bus/coach go to all major towns/cities of Devon with easy connections to Cornwall. Perfect base to explore both counties and the beaches and harbourside of the locale. Excellent al fresco dining/pub/cafe culture all a stones throw away from the property and many on the seafront and the harbourside. Lot of activities for families on the doorstep (theatre, mini golf, paddleboard hire, multi screen cinema, family friendly arcades, escape rooms etc.) Local events and festivals all year round. There is also a small garden w/ alfresco dining area. Wi-Fi&smart 4K TV (Disney+/Netflix/NOW TV/prime)

Paignton accommodation

The house was quirky and spacious for our group of 6. It was clean and the bedding and towels were nice. while some beds were comfortable one of the beds was very uncomfortable with maverick springs sticking up all over the place making it very difficult to find a comfortable spot to get any sleep. The only bathroom is very tired and could do with an update. There was plenty of crockery and good knives but thepans were not big enough to cater for 6.

Hi Elizabeth, Thank you for your review. I’ve taken on board all of your comments. Thank you for letting me know about some of these issues. I hope they didn’t impact your experience too much. All mattresses in the house are high quality and memory foam but one is a quite firm spring mattress from heals. If I had known that you had found it uncomfortable, I would’ve rectified it for you by bringing over a memory foam mattress topper. I’ve now rectified the issue so this will not impact any other guests in the future. We have enough crockery for 11 guests and lots of different sized cookware/pans and casserole dishes, however, after your review, we have decided to buy even more XL large pots and pans and more XL baking and oven trays. Again, if I had known, I could’ve rectified this situation for you so I hope it wasn’t too much of a problem. Regarding the bathroom, We haven’t received any negative feedback before, but I will take it on board and plan to update it as soon as possible. Location was fab, really close to the town, trains and beach. Owner was lovely, replied very quickly to messages and helped with a request we made. Really lovely welcome hamper. House was comfortable, had everything we needed to host a Christmas dinner, plenty of pans, oven trays etc. Lots of notices asking us to be minful of the neighbours (it's a terraced house so only fair) but we could hear the neighbours through the walls. Parking is on-street, fine Friday 8pm-8am Monday as you can park on both sides of the street, can be a bit trickier outside of those times. Be aware that there are stairs down from the hallway to the dining room and kitchen. Overall a great place to stay.

After spending my days off exploring the coasts of Devon and Cornwall in a campervan I fell in love with the region and decided to start my own self catering accommodation business in the area I love best. I want to help guests to make the most of their holiday experience by showcasing sites of interest and local activities to make special memories that last a lifetime.

What makes this property unique

There is a harbour theme throughout the property which blends well with the area. The house is incredibly spacious and cosy. We are so close to so many amenities and transport links that a car is not necessary to explore the local area and region. We are also walking distance to some fabulous beaches and coastal paths.
