15-minute bike ride from the sea! Lovely vacation bungalow with spacious garden.

Welcome to the page for our lovely holiday home on the North Holland coast!! We’ve been coming here as a couple and with our family for over 35 years, and we still thoroughly enjoy both the space and tranquility on one hand, and the abundance of things to do nearby on the other. It’s so beautiful here in every season! Whether you’re admiring the beautiful tulip fields, strolling along the beach in the pouring rain (and then sipping hot chocolate at a cosy beach bar), diving into the waves in your swimming costume, kitesurfing in a nice breeze, or taking a beautiful fall hike through the dune landscape… it always feels like a holiday!
In addition to holidaying, our cottage is also perfect for taking a few days to unwind or holding a “work retreat.”
“Meno Mosso” is fully equipped with all the amenities you need; sleeping accommodation for 7 adults (spread across three bedrooms, one of which is a walk-through room), patio furniture, super-fast internet, and all the TV features from Ziggo (available on multiple devices at once, so great for large families), a well-equipped kitchen, and a reliable washing machine. In our shed, there are two old but reasonably functional bicycles. Ideal for picking up a fresh croissant in the morning at the Spar, which is just a one-minute bike ride away (the Spar is open from March 1 through October 1. Closed during the winter season) or for a quick evening ride to the beach. If you’d like to go on longer bike rides, you can bring your own bikes or rent them from the bike rental shop at the park. In the shed, you’ll also find some outdoor toys, including beach gear, a badminton set, and a jeu de boules set.
Upon request, a sturdy playpen, a cot with a luxury mattress, and a baby bathtub on a stand are available. The bathroom is a bit dated and simple but clean, in excellent condition, and includes a toilet, sink, and a good shower. The cottage is heated by central heating. Thanks to the many windows, the house is always bright.

Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Cycling to the beach in the evening to enjoy the lapping sea and a beautiful sunset? Our cottage is located on the North Holland coast, near the beach (1.5 km), nestled among beautiful tulip fields and close to a stunning dune landscape perfect for walking, biking, or jogging. Picturesque towns like Schoorl, Callantsoog, Bergen, and Groet are also easy to reach by bike or car. For cultural activities and shopping, you can be in the centers of Alkmaar and Den Helder within 30 minutes. “Meno Mosso” is located at the “Campanula” bungalow park, which features a swimming pool (available for a fee), a football field, a mini-golf course, a ping-pong table, bike rentals, a laundromat, and two fenced-in playgrounds. While there are plenty of activities in the area year-round, you can truly enjoy the space and tranquility in and around the cottage. Here, you can even enjoy a cup of coffee on your patio in the early spring mornings. The garden surrounds the cottage, so you’ll have sun all day long but also always a spot in the shade.
