I was sorry you were so disappointed in the lack of a television Karen, despite our listing clearly outlining and showing in our images that we don't not have one (most of our guests appreciate being unplugged - or bring their personal devices such as a laptop). I assume this is what you mean when you say 'basic facilities' as every other facility you could wish for is provided at The Loft, including a yoga mat! As evidenced by our many 5* reviews. Despite this, we ran around extensively, got a TV set up & purchased a Firestick so you were able to watch all the channels you requested. It's disappointing that your 3* review & basic review didn't mention our effort, Karen. I would kindly suggest in future that if specific 'facilities' are deemed important then you double-check they are on on the property listing before you book.

Lovely accommodation in Mells, beautiful walks on the doorstep including the Mells River Walk. Talbot Inn is within walking distance as well as the village shop which is well stocked and popular. Comfy, quiet accommodation.

Huge space, spotlessly clean & comfortable with really fast WiFi. Mells is a beautiful village with a great pub 10 mins walk from the Loft. Easy to get to Frome, Bath etc. Would definitely return.

It was an exellent place to stay. Plenty of room with the main window providing a view across a field. Clean, well equipped, excellent shower. Very comfy bed. We highly recommend it, so does our dog! Mells village is about a quarter mile away, where there's a post office with a coffee shop attached. The Talbot pub/restuarant does excellent food and is dog friendy.

Fantastic property & location

Recently stayed at The Loft for a week while attending a course with my dog. The Loft was spotlessly clean, is very spacious and has everything you need. The mobile signal was very poor but free wifi is available and the property manager was very responsive to emails and extremely accommodating to my late return at nights due to a change of times on my course. I highly recommend this property and hope to return quite soon to explore the area some more.

Beautiful Barn con

We stayed for two nights, we used the loft as a base for longleat. Just perfect. Host even asked what our 5yr old Gransons favourite sweets where and left some with some vitals like tea coffee and milk. Highly recommend.

Spacious well-appointed loft in rural idyllic setting

In a village short of holiday accommodation this is a welcome find for anyone keen to enjoy the delights of Mells and the surrounding area. The studio flat works well and is near enough to the village that the car can be dispensed with for a few days of simplicity. Little touches by the host make it feel very welcoming, and the loft is perfectly well appointed. The Talbot Inn (Weds-Sun) and Walled Garden (daily to 5pm) offer local possibilities for eating out.

We absolutely loved our little break here! The loft was bright, airy, and so much more spacious than we expected — a perfect spot to relax after a day out. The bed was super comfy and everything was spotlessly clean, which made it feel instantly welcoming. The location couldn’t have been better: beautiful walks right on the doorstep and a great local pub just a short stroll away. Best of all, it’s completely dog-friendly, so our four-legged friend got to enjoy the adventure too.Such a peaceful, easy getaway — we’re already talking about when we can come back!A total 5 star stay. You can also arrange with the host Lisa, if you need to charge your car. Fabulous.

The Loft was perfect in every way and met our needs precisely. There is a lot of attention to the right details, and everything was provided for us to start and fully enjoy our stay. The room is well appointed, warm and spacious with ample equipment and information to optimise your stay. While there is no TV, it is only an observation for some, and we didn't need it anyway as it was all about relaxing and enjoying the area and anyway, the internet is very efficient. The shower room is brilliant, with fabulous toiletries, fluffy towels and a great shower. Great for pets too with so much countryside to explore; ample parking and in a great location to explore both the locality and further afield. The provision of books and games was a nice touch, and the folder was packed full of really helpful and interesting information. Lisa provided clear and concise information to speed the check in / out process and all in all, if was a fabulous stay.

The Loft

We had a wonderful peaceful stay here. The property is clean, attractive and very well equipped. Lisa was very responsive to questions and on hand without being at all intrusive. The area is beautiful, with amazing walks from the apartment. The pub in the village serves lovely food, served by attentive staff. Nearby Frome is lovely too, with lots of independent shops and reataurants. We were so close to Bath yet we had no desire to go, the countryside and surrounding area was too attractive. The only thing that would have made our stay totally perfect was a bigger bed, but that’s just personal preference. Thank you, we would love to stay again in the future.
