About this property

Ta Mill Pump Cottage in a Stunning Retreat

This Olde Worlde cottage hosts the original farmhouse kitchen fireplace with the remnants of the clome oven in the huge inglenook recess. A wood burner sits majestically on the slate hearth and warms the cottage on a cool winter night. The exposed beams of the living area compliment the stone chimney which dominates the room. Climb up the short but steep staircase to a bedroom with sloping, beamed ceilings and enjoy the view at the window which overlooks the fledgling orchard.

Guest access
You will have the entire cottage to yourselves. Ta Mill is secluded rural hideaway set in a private estate of 45 acres with nature trail to enjoy, wildlife ponds to view alongside a games room, pitch ‘n’ putt and children's outdoor play area. There are grazing sheep and alpacas in the fields.
There is ample parking and I will meet you on your arrival date to show you to your cottage.
Other things to note
Book private sessions in our hot tub or swim spa. This is at an additional charge of £25 per session or £100 for 5 sessions (sessions are an hour long, max 4 people at the time). The hot tub is situated in the old waterwheel pit which is less than a minute walk from the cottage. Sit back and relax whilst watching the stars above.
There may be other people staying on site in other accommodation, but you have your own walled garden and patio and will not be disturbed by other guests. We allow 1 small dog in this cottage free of charge. You must bring a dog basket with you and please ensure your pet does not lie on the bedding or soft furnishings. When you exercise your dog, it must be under control and you must clean up after your pet. Pets must not be left unattended in the accommodation at any time. ONLY HOUSE TRAINED PETS ACCEPTED- SORRY NO PUPPIES.

A little slice of heaven!

The Pump cottage was quirky, cosy and hidden away in a beautiful old courtyard, I had a patio area large enough for tables. chairs, BBQ etc which was opposite a natural spring bath and a wooden sauna hut, another property also shared the rear courtyard but very quiet and at night all was lit up. The alpacas and sheep look down on you from their field and I had a gate with direct access to feed them and pet them. The gardens are stunning with streams and ponds, all mature and great lawns with a pitch & putt. There are Ta Mill walks on the doorstep in stunning countryside and all belong to the property. You can walk to St.Clether's Holy well a protected National Heritage site while enjoying the beauty of Bodmin Moor. The hosts are great and welcoming, they also offer weddings and private function opportunities with Spa treatments. If you love real Cornwall and Bodmin Moor you will love Ta Mill plus so close to the North coast sea towns. My dog loved the long walks.
