This beautiful detached holiday house sits in an elevated position in the pretty little harbour village of Portpatrick. With simply stunning views over the village and harbour, and looking out towards Ireland, this property has the wow factor inside too. The house is decorated beautifully and the main reception rooms and kitchen are situated on the upper level to take advantage of the uninterrupted views over the village and sea. The kitchen/diner boasts modern appliances and everything you would need to rustle up a family dinner and where better to sit and relax with its high ceilings and impressive pine trusses with views over the village. From here, steps lead down to the large living room with double doors opening onto the balcony, again to make the most of those fabulous views. The bedrooms continue that luxury feel, the master has an en-suite shower room and two of the rooms have garden access, so the perfect place to sit with your morning coffee.

Portpatrick is one of the most popular holiday villages on the coast of south west Scotland, with its pretty little harbour, quirky shops, small putting green and of course you can take a trip from the harbour to enjoy a spot of fishing or just a leisure cruise. Walkers are well catered for in Portpatrick with spectacular cliff paths in both directions, where you can follow the path past Dunskey Castle to Knockinaam, or past several secluded bays to Killantringan Lighthouse. The walk from the village to Killantringan is the start of the Southern Upland Way.

The village is a hive of activity throughout the year. Events include the RNLI Lifeboat Week, the Music Festival, farmer’s markets, craft fayres and vintage truck rallies. Being on the South West Coastal 300, a stunningly beautiful touring route throughout the whole region, Portpatrick is the perfect base for your holiday. Having explored the area return and enjoy a superb meal and a glass of wine at a nearby restaurant overlooking the water, where you can take advantage of a 10% discount privilege card while staying at Number Nine.
