About the host
Hosted by CHRISTINE CAMPBELL
I was born in Portpatrick and returned after college and some work experience to set up a pottery workshop with my partner, which we ran for about 10 years. This developed into a a retail craft shop, selling quality craft goods from around the world. I developed the Lighthouse apartment from a store office and workshop just a few yards from my current shop and flat, so am available on site if any problems occur or information is required. Obviously I know Dumfries and Galloway intimately and can offer information and knowledge of the area to our guests.
Why they chose this property
I built this property in 1993 as part of my business. I love the area and have lived here virtually for the whole of my working life. It is a quiet and peaceful part of Scotland and not yet fully appreciated. It has much to offer and very beautiful. Portpatrick is ideal for walking, golfing as well as a centre for wider reaching sightseeing tours - including Belfast (Titanic), the Galloway hills and world famous gardens, historic castles and our local distillery.
What makes this property unique
Although in the centre of The village it is a quiet location with stunning views and very comfortable. Bed linen, towels, electricity, fuel for the wood burning stove and unlimited WI-Fi are provided in the price.
