About the host

Hosted by Darren and Sarah

Host profile image
We started our journey in Manchester (UK) and met in 1990. After travelling around the globe for a year we returned to the UK and eventually settled in the town of Amesbury Wiltshire, where we and our family remain local to this day.
When we first arrived to the area in 1997, the local was a pub called the Greyhound Tavern. A beautiful building with lots of charm and character.

Why they chose this property

Some 24 years later we seized the opportunity to buy a converted portion of the old building. The house was in fact the main central portion, our front door was the original main entrance and the downstairs bathroom is cited in the position of the original Bar.
Originally bought as a long term rental, the layout, character and location of the property just lends itself perfectly to a holiday let.

What makes this property unique

The core building itself oozes charm and character, justifying its Grade 2 listing status, it has been fully renovated and furnished to high standard and we believe it makes a wonderful home from home, offering the prefect base for perfect access to the array of local tourist attractions and local amenities.
