You can have an unforgettable day’s time travel by steam railway. Just a short car journey takes you to the world-famous Ironbridge and its popular museums, The Royal Air Force Museum and Boscobel House. A few miles upstream of Bridgnorth is Shrewsbury, England’s finest Tudor town, which has one of the best waterfronts, a wide variety of shops, bars and a riverside theatre.

For the more active guests, there are an abundance of walks to be explored in the Shropshire hills, including the Mortimer Trail and the stunning Cleehill.
