We loved the bunkhouse!
We had a great stay in the very cozy bunkhouse. It has all of the accommodations you need for a weekend in Joseph. We would love to stay here when we come back in to town!
Gorgeous, charming getaway with tranquil sounds of the creek
We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful property. I slept better than I have in years, the sound of the creek just outside this charming and quaint getaway.
Would definitely stay here again. The bunk house is simply adorable. Very comfortable bed and we loved listening to the sound of the river. We even experienced some wildlife; a doe and her fawn. If was the perfect spot for our long weekend away.
We loved it! The bed was so comfortable and having the door open at night with the cool breeze coming in was amazing! The room was extremely clean and included everything we needed for our stay. The decor is romantic and cute. We made good use of the record player and albums. We can't wait to come back again!

Great location but needed cleaning
The property and location was very nice - we loved hearing the creek and being able to leave the screen door open at night. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room needs a good vacuuming - it was very dusty in the corners and along the edges. We were unable to access the wifi with information provided in confirmation or with the instructions provided in the room.

We thought it was unique and charming. Very Clean. The quiet surroundings, creek in the back of the property, rooster crowing at dawn....somewhat of an old time feeling with the conveniences of a modern stay. The TV was problematic to us, but we are seniors with no sense of the digital universe and the surroundings begged for reading and relaxing rather than watching the Tube. I would recommend it to others.
It is hard to know where to start to list all the things that make Judy’s bunkhouse a wonderful place to stay. Big cozy bed with super silky sheets, white fluffy towels, charming western decor. We love the little back porch overlooking the stream that runs past her property. There is a path leading down to the stream where you can actually sit and put your feet in the water on a sunny day. You can scratch a horse behind the ears or pet a cat. Judy is just the best hostess you can imagine. She’s so friendly and helpful, and made us feel completely at home.

So cute but deck and furniture could have been clean.
Overall, this was such a creative and rustic place. I loved the antique pieces and the functional use of items. The bed was very comfortable. The challenge was that the deck had not been cleaned (bird droppings and just grime) for a long time - had to put a towel on the chair to cover the yuk. The adirondack chairs down by the beautiful brook were not used due to the many bird droppings that were not new. Attention to these details would have left me providing a fantastic review, but the bird droppings and grime was icky. Also, the screen door had no screen in it on the top so trying to have cool evening air (no air conditioner) in the room was not an option. I was surprised that the beautiful hanging flower pots were not watered at all, so they were dead by the end of our third day. Again, attention to these details would be my recommendation. Thanks so much for the wonderful location.
We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck with the river running below. Peaceful and private. A great place to stay central to all the activities Joseph has to offer. Easy check in.

Listening to a running creek at night at this property was so relaxing and this made our stay very enjoyable.
Although a bit crowded with the "shabby chick" furnishings the decor was charming and inventive. There's a variety of cooking devices for such a small space but a lack of workspace unless you move some operations to the back deck. And there is the crowning glory; an adequate deck just above a small river surrounded by trees busy with birds, occasional view of cows, deer and perhaps even a skunk. All in all a lovely quiet property within a few minutes drive of downtown.
Cute little place with a great view of the mountains and river. Fun area to go swimming or dip your feet in the water. Close to town and not far from the lake. Very comfortable bed. Welcoming host with friendly guests. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Enjoyed the creek out back. Quiet and close to everything we needed for the week.

This was a very comfy rustic retreat. The bed was very comfy, the room was cozy and the deck was inviting. The river flowing through the property is a plus, we even had a black bear wandering along the river. We would definitely stay again when in the area.
We had a wonderful time staying at the Bunkhouse! Sheila was so helpful and communicative before and during our stay - she gave us excellent recommendations for food and activities! Though it was smoky and super hot, we were able to cool off each evening with the door open and fan on. The space is full of fun details and whimsical surprises…I’ll admit - I did try on the hat that resembled a turquoise feather duster… The bunkhouse is a pretty neat repurposing of a space - it isn’t large, but the king bed is gigantic and the semi-private deck was my favorite part! We would definitely return!! 😊
We really enjoyed our stay at the Bunkhouse. It’s a fun and unique space but had everything we needed too. We took advantage of the refrigerator, coffee maker and TV, and especially enjoyed listening to the river in the morning on the deck. After hiking in the morning or spending time in Joseph it was lovely to be able to sit down in the chairs by the river and read a book in the afternoon. Check in was super easy. Would stay here again.
I found the bunkhouse to be a superb lodging option for its cleanliness and ease of check in and check out. Comes fully equipped, including a small refrigerator and microwave , Along with the assortment of dishes and flatware etc. The shower itself, was spotless. Nice chairs on the small back deck where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee or a beverage in the evening and listen to the creek. Pleasant atmosphere, and private!
