Struan Cottage is situated in a quiet peaceful location in the Cairngorms National Park and within a 5 minute stroll to Ballater and all the amenities you will need for your stay. It is a cosy cottage with living room/kitchen and 1 bedroom with a king size bed. It has its own drive way which leads to a secluded garden that is secure and safe for your pet should you bring them along.

Very impressive accommodation in Ballater for our visit to the Braemar Gathering. There has been a lot of effort to make it comfortable with planned renovations to the ensuite in the near future. Easy strolll into the main shopping/restaurant area. I don’t imagine I’ll get to stay again but I’d recommend it to anyone. Also has a fenced area if you bring your dog along.

My husband and myself bought Struan Cottage in 2022 as a home for ourselves to go to. We have worked hard over the past couple of years extending and renovating the cottage and also building a garage and landscaping the garden. We love sharing our home so that others can enjoy the beautiful cairngorms national park and the village of Ballater.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is only a 15 minute drive to Balmoral Castle and to the ski centre. There are so many walks and cycle tracks to make your holiday perfect.
