The cottage was immaculately clean for our welcome with thoughtful additions for our 'pet' (blankets, treats). It was fabulous having a shop a couple of hundred yards up the road, and parking was perfect....along with the views over the Loch. Strachaur, never visited before was a very pleasant stay and enhanced all that we already knew of Scotland.... highly recommneded.

A very cosy and comfortable cottage, in a good location for travelling to the main towns and sights in the area. Very well equipped and with all mod cons.Had some problems with the Wi-Fi but this was dealt with fairly swiftly. On the negative, we found it a bit stuffy upstairs and unfortunately some of the window vents couldn't be opened. There's a bit of mould in the bathroom (mostly from the shower leaking onto the floor via a gap in the shower screen) and the kitchen could possibly do with a deeper clean. All in all, a good wee find; and we had a great week!

What a lovely cottage! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning The host left us welcome treats and some milk eggs and bread, a real help on our arrival. There’s also towels and things like tea towels, hand soap, toilet rolls and kitchen wash cloths provided. So it was really helpful if we’d forgotten things. The cottage was very clean and tidy, and very close to the loch for walking the dogs. Beautiful views. There’s a visitors book and a local area folder to help with ideas for places to visit in the local area. This was really helpful. The host also has lots of dvds left by the tv which our children really enjoyed, there’s also books on Scotland and the local area. The bathroom is excellent, heated floor and a Bluetooth light up mirror so you can listen to music whilst in the shower. Our daughters loved that. There’s a lovely post office/shop and tea room almost opposite which was very friendly, good place to get food bits locally and the tea room was v nice. Also a lovely pub not far up the road ‘the cleggen’ (may be spelt wrong) that had amazing food. The cottage was comfortable and ticked all the boxes. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and will definitely be returning. My only negative would be the sofa and chairs in the lounge aren’t very comfortable. Gave us awful back ache and bum ache, but this cottage still deserves a 20/10 as it’s pretty perfect and a great place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone with dogs family wanting to explore this area

A very comfortable and cosy pet friendly cottage that had everything needed for a long or short break.
