We stayed in Stroud for several days. This is a small town in England, and for one who desires a place to stay in the area, this works. If one is not used to the English roads as we were not, know that you will be driving on narrow lanes to access the property. For England this is normal. We enjoyed our stay.

The property is beautiful and clean. Although on a very steep hill! The owners did warn us of the extremely tricky parking which was confusing as to where we could park. Unfortunately we blocked the owners from using their drive for the night but they understood and managed to park elsewhere. Perhaps some signage on the traffic cones re parking would help. Bullet point instructions not a detailed essay to access the property via a porch tucked round the LHS corner may help. So quiet and clean we had an excellent 1 night stay before the Badminton Horse Trails.
Hello. This is David and Jo. We live with our daughter and cat in Thrupp, on the outskirts of Stroud, Gloucestershire.
We moved to Gloucestershire from southeast London in 2019. Since then we have undertaken extensive renovations, one of which is the newly refurbished studio attached to our family home.
We look forward to meeting you.
Why they chose this property
Thrupp is an excellent base for enjoying the delights and amenities Stroud district has to offer. From award-winning pubs, like Laurie Lee’s favourite, the Woolpack; to the farmer’s market at the heart of Stroud town centre, and the independent boutiques and cafes of Nailsworth. Stroud district is famous for its beautiful walks and bike trails. There is a woodland which is a five minute walk from the studio, and valley walks, commons, woodlands and river walks, and great views literally all over the area!
