We loved staying here - spacious, clean, quiet, with everything we needed - we even extended our stay. The kids loved the courtyard area to play in and seeing the goats and other animals every day. Highly recommend. Car needed but it's a short journey to both Nailsworth and Stroud (and ample parking). Highly recommended

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly as described and the photos online do not do it justice, it is much better than the pics show. The hosts are amazing friendly and helpful people. The property is so well equipped. We totally recommend this property for a lovely relaxing stay.

Beautiful place and a fabulous stay!

Clean, spacious and perfectly appointed holiday cottage in a stunning location. The hosts are very welcoming- the homemade cakes were a lovely touch. Staying on the farm was great and the kids loved seeing the animals. In a great location to explore the various local walks, great local pubs or explore the Cotswolds. Child and family friends- would definitely recommend!

This was our second stay at Swallows Rest, which was equally enjoyable as the first. We found this accommodation an excellent base for exploring the South Cotswolds. We thank our hosts Jeannie and Brian and hope to return in the future.

Swallows Rest

10/10 in our opinion. Everything that you need for a relaxing stay was provided even down to the welcome milk tea coffee and cakes. Jeannie and Brian took the time to talk to us about the local area and the farm when we asked, but at the same time they respected our privacy. Swallows Rest is a brilliant place to stay.

Amazing family break in the Cotswolds countryside

The property is finished to an excellent standard, all appliances are new and everything tastefully decorated. The farm location is ideal, peace and fresh country air and lots of friendly animals for children to enjoy. Jeannie and Brian were extremely attentive hosts, leaving eggs in the hen house for our daughter to find and collect, and always available for any queries. There was an issue with the shower and they had a plumber in the same day and a new shower installed the next, bearing in mind this was all during the weekend. Jeannie even offered us an extra night free of charge to make up for the inconvenience. Nailsworth is lovely for browsing independent shops, I also recommend The Hog for a meal, and The Halfway Cafe in Box for cake, best cheesecake I had in my life and all towards the good cause of the adjacent Chine School. I would certainly return to Swallows Rest in the winter to try out the gorgeous log burner! Thank you Jeannie and Brian for your hospitality!

Loved the place! It was comfortable, cute, and cozy. Jeannie was so nice and gave us some great suggestions for dinner. The goats were my favorite! They were so much fun and so sweet. *Google map tries to guide you to the wrong side of the road! The neighbors were also lovely and helped us get where we needed to go.
