About this property
Abby's Place 4 - Rocking On Route 66
Home away from home just minutes from downtown, Abby’s Place is for you. This fun suite is a throw-back tribute to the Southwest in the 1950s along Route 66 featuring an authentic 1950s chrome dining room table with red leather seats! Comfortable living area, full kitchen and a cozy Jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom (this a regular-sized bathtub with Jacuzzi jets). Custom bed décor & flat screen TV adorn the bedroom & are ready to provide a restful night. The bed is beautiful and comfortable but sit high off the floor. (There is a step under the bed.) There is a wood-burning firepit in the yard. Sitting outside by the fire and looking up at the stars is one of our favorite activities while we are there. This is the perfect place for romance, relaxation, and rejuvenation and is ideal for an extended visit for 2 but accommodates 3. Adjacent to Suite 5 & perfect for 2 couples or family together. Conveniently located for activities and festivals in Fredericksburg but also central to other Hill County events, such as touring wineries, concerts, hiking, cycling, horse racing, car shows and more! For nearby hiking at Enchanted Rock, see https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/enchanted-rock. For list of local cycling, see http://www.hillcountrybicycle.com/Local_Events.html We do not offer breakfast on premise. Instead, we provide coffee, tea, water and snacks in each suite.

Ted was a great host and the property was perfect! Clean and a very comfy bed after a long day at the vineyards! We will definitely rent this property again!

Thanks for taking such good care of everything and we appreciate you staying with us. Please come see us again.
We really enjoyed the stay and it was perfect for what we needed for this visit. Fun decor and relaxed vibe. We didn’t cook but used a few glasses and coffee cups. Nice bag of Starbucks coffee in the freezer. Only nit, slow flushing toilet needs to be serviced. Easy walk to donut shop that has kolaches, breakfast sandwiches and yummy donuts.

Thanks for the heads up on the toilet. We have it serviced. Thanks for taking such good care of everything while you were there. Please come again.
Such a cute property! Absolutely perfect location for access to both Main Street and wineries outside of town to the east. We booked this for a quick overnight trip to pick up a wine club allocation and thus weren’t expecting to spend much time in the room, but we all agreed when it was time to check out that we wished we had one more night to hang out around the fire pit. Very comfy bed and thoughtful amenities. Would absolutely rebook!

Thank you so much for staying w us and taking such good care of our place. We would love to host you again.
We had a wonderful stay in Fredericksburg and truly enjoyed our time in this room. It was exactly as described in the listing, which made settling in easy and reassuring. Every part of our stay was seamless—from booking and check-in to arrival and departure, everything was simple and hassle-free. The room itself was very comfortable, and it was clear that the host had put thoughtful attention into many small details. The Route 66 theme gave it a unique charm, and the furnishings felt like stepping back into the 1950s. Everything was exceptionally clean and well cared for. We especially appreciated how quiet and restful the environment was throughout our stay. It made for a perfect place to relax after a full day out. We stayed for two nights, and every moment was pleasant. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and we would gladly stay here again.

Great location just a few minutes drive to Main Street and a short drive to the 290 wineries. Just the right size for a weekend stay in a really quiet part of Fredericksburg. Would definitely stay again.

Spent the weekend in one of our favorite towns. Rain put a little bit of a damper on things, but we still enjoyed our short stay.

Why they chose this property
My wife Leah and I have fallen in love with Fredericksburg and our Abby's Place! The orginal rock house was built in the 1880s and expanded in 1920s. This is part of a larger complex that was expanded in the 1990s on one acre. Lots of charm and comfort to start with and then we had such fun lovingly furnishing and decorating each of the 5 units with a different theme that seemed fitting. The whole complex has 5 bedrooms (2 kings and 3 queens) with 5 bathrooms and 5 separate living rooms, each with a sofa sleeper. Although this property is adjacent, you will your privacy and quiet. We have listings that allow you to stay in 1 suite or to rent several together for your group to enjoy time together. Look for our other listings! The whole complex sits on an acre with plenty of space to sit outside at night by one of two fire pits and gaze at the Texas stars!
What makes this property unique
Abby’s Place is conveniently located in town near the heart of the shopping but it sits on an entire acre of land with a windmill! We love sitting on the front porch in the rocking chair and sipping coffee while watching the birds and at night sitting outside under the stars. We are amazed at how many stars you can see in the sky even though you are in town. The trees provide shade during the day. Only 1 1/2 blocks off of Main Street on the east end of town. Short hop to all the great restaurants and shopping.
