Ruth was a very efficient and timely communicator, and the flat is an easy tram ride from the main bus and train station. And it has a bakery three minutes up the road that opens at 6 AM! It is also a short walk from the Augustine brewery, which is definitely worth a couple of visits for a meal. The place was very clean and well equipped, and there is a washer and dryer just down the hall which we used a couple of times and appreciated. Highly recommended to somebody visiting Salzburg since it is on the old town side of the river, which is where many of the sites are located.

The apartment is in a great location for the price. It's a nice stroll to the old town and in a lovely quiet traditional area with a mountain backdrop. Inside the apartment is everything you could want. It is exceptionally clean, very well equipped and the beds are so comfortable! We found it easy to park for the duration of our stay. The owner was quick to respond to any questions. I could not fault this gem of a place to stay, and highly recommend it!

We chose Salzburg as the place to stay for easy access the the Konigsee and Berchtesgaden National Park. Our stay was very enjoyable and met our expectations. Our apartment was in a residential area with access to local food and other services and a comfortable walk away from Salzburg’s beautiful old city. Our host was helpful in providing lots of information to facilitate check-in and guide our stay. Highly recommend the pizza at nearby Ristorante Roma. We had a good time.

5 days in Salzburg
The house is very cosy, nice to live in for 5 days. The location is perfect, it only takes 5 minutes by bus to get to the center. It's silent outside and you can sleep very well. As it says it's quite small for 4 people, but for 2 couples is perfect as you should like sleeping close to each other. Well we were absolutely satisfied and we miss it already! Very comfortable and sweet for a perfect visit to Salzburg!

Dear Peddy
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I am so happy to hear you were comfortable in our studio. It is not really meant for 4 adults , but at most for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Hope to see you again in Salzburg some day. Best wishes, Ruth
Apartment was clean but was a good 28-32 walk to town. Had issues with door lock. Shower extremely small. Nice bed and sheets.

Hi Jen
I am sorry if you walked 28-32 minutes to the historical center. If you had followed the way we drew into the map we left you on the table it's just 15 minutes walk to Neutor, the entrance to the old town. You must have overlooked that. I am sorry that you had problems with the doorlock. I received a message from Nuki, the company where I bought the locks that the battery was getting empty, they sent the message to late by mistake. I right away called my neighbor to exchange the battery which she did an then the lock worked again. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. Regarding the shower cabin, it has a radius of 80 cm. which is normal for Austria. The apartment is in a 120 years old house and there was no place to make a 90 cm. shower cabin. I am very sorry if this bothered you.
Best wishes, Ruth

This was by far one of the best I have stayed in. Fully equipped, including a safe. Very clean , bright & updated. The owner was very accommodating and was quick to answer emails. I would give this a 5 . It is an easy walk into the old city.
The property was very clean and had all the amenities you needed. The checkin process was flawless.
It was very good to have parking available on site.
The property was about a 20 minute walk from old town Salzburg which was a great way to start your day. You see more of the city walking through it.
All in all the stay met and exceeded our expectations.
Thank you

Very nice small apartment in a very quiet neighborhood. Not far from old town. Short walk to many buses or little longer walk through tunnel to old town. The shower is a bit small for large people, but was fine for us. Ruth left many instructions and suggestions for Eating and connections.

Dear guests
I am very happy you liked the apartment. This house was built more than 120 years ago, when people were not as tall as today and unfortunately there was no place in the bathroom for a larger shower cabin. To the tunnel Neutor to the old town I walk 15 minutes.
My very best wishes, Ruth

Comfortable and well equipped
We loved the apartment. It was comfortably furnished and well equipped. The owner provided detailed information for us before we arrived; when we arrived she had prepared a great guide to the apartment and the area. She was extra helpful by arranging a taxi for us. We liked being away from the tourist areas. However, it's only 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the center; it's also on a busline.

About the host
Hosted by Dr. Ruth Dick
I live in the mountains about 90 km. from Salzburg. Therefore I am unfortunately not always able to meet my guests. I come to Salzburg on average once a week and love to meet my guests if I have an opportunity. I have a neighbour at Ganshofstrasse who takes care of my guests when I am not there. I also love to travel and when I am travelling my son and my neighbour take care of my guests.
Why they chose this property
I like this area because it is a nice, safe and quiet residential area and only 15 walking minutes to the entrance of the historical center, Neutor. Also at most 5 walking minutes to the next bus stops and a bakery.
What makes this property unique
This apartment faces 3 directions so there is always sun coming in from somewhere. It has a private parking place, which is a big advantage in Salzburg. This apartment is on the ground floor. There are only 6 apartments in the whole building, 2 on each floor. The apartment has an electric heating which the guests can control so they can control the temperature in the winter.
