Prefect to relax

This is an amazing place to relax and unwind in comfort and luxury. There is everything you need in this holiday home to enjoy your stay and loads of local resources to make your stay what you want. The paths to explore around the tarn are perfect for a short walk and there are many longer ones nearby. Brampton is a great town to explore and collect some supplies, further Carlisle is a treat too

Great location and cosy cottage

A super cottage with everything you could want for a relaxing break. The location is great, with amazing views across the tarn. Most people look at the tarn rather than the cottage, so you don’t feel like you are in a goldfish bowl.

A perfect place to relax

Beautiful lakeside spot, with walks round the lake. Enjoyed breakfast on the veranda every day. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, with many touches of luxury.

Highly recommend!

We had an excellent stay at Waters Edge. The location is idyllic, overlooking the tarn and set in a pretty landscaped garden. The property is ideal for a stay any time of year, it has very spacious rooms with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Sitting on the patio overlooking the tarn, watching the activity on the water and enjoying the wildlife was a highlight of our stay. Highly recommend!

Birthday celebrations

I surprised my wife with a 2 night stay for her birthday and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The location was perfect and the added bonus was the weather was superb. It was immaculate and the whole place was finished to an exceptionally high standard. We loved every minute and didn't want to leave, we will be back !

Perfection

Amazing magical place, very warm and cosy, everything we needed, so comfortable in every way. View is spectacular, changes everyday, despite very low temperatures outside we never felt it in the property .. Bed is so comfortable with superior bedding, so peaceful.

STUNNING HOLIDAY COTTAGE AND LOCATION

My husband and I stayed at Waters Edge, Talkin Tarn 30 May to 6 June and from the moment we entered the cottage we were absolutely delighted with our choice of accommodation and location. The view over the Tarn from the double patio doors is uninterrupted and stunning, and the furnishings throughout the cottage are of high quality. There is lots of crockery and utensils available, plus cleaning products for your use if required. The bed was very comfortable with lovely crisp bedding. Free parking in the nearby carpark is not a problem with lots of security cameras, although I doubt whether these are necessary. There are lovely walks direct from the cottage and we walked around the Tarn at least once every day and enjoyed coffee plus cake at the lovely cafe located half way around. On an evening we were delighted to be visited by two little ducks, who squeezed under the garden gate and looked at us through the patio doors - they love sliced grapes. All in all a 100% excellent rated holiday accommodation and we highly recommend. Thank you to the owners for sharing it with us.
