A beautiful stay amongst beautiful surroundings and the most lovely cottage.

A beautiful stay amongst beautiful surroundings and the most lovely cottage. Everything was just perfect, everything you need in the cottage to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. The little extra touches throughout are lovely, even our dog was left little treats. Our favourite spot was sitting outside on an afternoon enjoying the sun trap patio area and on many occasions being lucky enough to see the deer’s in the fields behind. Perfect, picturesque and peaceful. Highly recommended.

The cottage was well equiped and had everything we needed for our stay.

The cottage was well equiped and had everything we needed for our stay. Lovely, modern furnishings with comfortable sofas and beds. Exceptionally clean and warm. The cottage is quite remote, but exactly how we wanted it to be. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and a perfect base to explore the surrounding areas. Halwhistle, is only a short drive away and a very dog friendly pub 2 miles with a walk from the door to the pub. Just a small point, there was no chopping board for preparing food in the kitchen and it would be a shame if the worktops were damaged and an oven tray would have been handy for heating food. this in no way affected our stay and is just a suggestion. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to return in the future. If you are looking for a cottage in beautiful surroundings then The Old Cottage is a must.
