Lovely farmhouse

Our family really enjoyed the stay at this farmhouse. It was big enough for us all to fit in and still be able to chill out in different areas. Marga was amazing throughout the whole process of questions, booking, check in and throughout the stay. Lovely property with beautiful country views.

Excellent Property

Marga was an excellent host and the property was clean, comfortable and as described. The farm is very peaceful and the train access to Amsterdam from the local station was easy.

The best!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Marga and Dik, the hosts. They were very kind, professional, prompt, and very hospitable. Couldn't have been a better stay. Wonderful views, peace and quiet and easy traveling to most parts of the Netherlands. We highly recommend this place! You'd love it.

We loved our stay here- accodomations were perfect for 9 people, location was great to do days trips around the Netherlands but then come back to the peacefulness of the farm. Watching the cows walk back and forth to the barn was a highlight of our stay. Marga was very gracious and provided any assistance we asked for.

Farm Stay near Utrecht

Very accessible vacation home - lots of bathrooms, long dining table, small but useful kitchen. Level access for guests with more limited mobility. House is on a working farm overlooking fields, but very well located for local services and access to bigger towns and cities. Communication with Marga was very easy, and she is a kind and helpful host. Definitely recommended!

Great stay and a great location!

My family of 11 (6 adults, 5 kids) stayed for a week at Marga’s farmhouse to celebrate my parents’ 50th anniversary. The house had plenty of room for all of us. It was nice to have a bathroom for each bedroom. The kitchen area is a little on the small side but our family uses the kitchen a lot. It wasn’t a big problem. Marga was a lovely host and answered our questions quickly and gave us a tour of their dairy cows too! The location was great for all we wanted to do in South Holland. It was an easy day trip to many top locations. I would highly recommend this place!

We loved our nine day stay at this VRBO. The bedrooms and baths were wonderful. Beds were comfy!! Bedrooms were very roomy, had great storage and were very sound proof. The dining table and kitchen space could not have been better. Everything was nice and clean and every member of our three families enjoyed being there. We had six children under 12 years of age and they loved being able to play soccer in the backyard and they even created a fishing pole out of a long stick and caught a few fish. It was an absolutely perfect place for children that age although watching them by the water was necessary. We were close to several little grocery stores and the kitchen was more than adequate with everything you needed for cooking meals. The table seated 12 very easily and was a wonderful place to sit and play games as well. Our children and grandchildren loved watching the dairy operate and seeing the cows close up and keeping track of them. Several evenings we saw lots of hot air balloons float by near the property which made for great excitement. We planned day trips to various Netherland cities and this property was a nice distance from most places. We would highly recommend this property and would stay there again if we were back in the Netherlands.

Schöner Urlaub mit der ganzen Familie

Wir waren mit 4 Generationen eine Woche im sehr schönen Haus im Urlaub. Das Haus ist praktisch eingerichtet und bei schönem Wetter kann man das Wetter auf der Terasse oder auf der kleinen Wiese davor genießen. Sehr praktisch fanden wir, dass jedes Zimmer sein eigenes Bad mit Dusche hat, damit waren wir morgens schnell fertig. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und dennoch zentral. Die Einrichtung ist gut und wir hatten alles was wir brauchten. Die Vermieterin Marga ist immer ansprechbar und reagiert sofort. Sehr schön fanden unsere Kinder die Hofbesichtigung inkl. Stall. mit den Kühen. Die Städte Rotterdam und Den Haag sind mit dem Auto in max 40 Minuten zu erreichen. Uttrecht in ca. 20 Minuten. Auch die ganz nahen Städtchen Montfoort und Oudewater sind einen Besuch wert. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in 5 Autominuten erreichbar.

Prachtig huis in een mooie omgeving.

Heel erg goed. Leuke locatie met een groot huis. In de nabije omgeving allerlei mogelijkheden qua fietsen, wandelen, restaurants en tal van andere activiteiten.

Fijn, landelijk gelegen vakantiehuis

Marga is een super attente verhuurster, staat altijd klaar voor informatie en hulp. Het vakantiehuis is ruim, schoon, modern en van heel veel gemakken voorzien. Een lekkere ruime eetkamer annex keuken, waar het gezellig vertoeven is. Met een mooi, landelijk uitzicht. In de complete open keuken staat niets je in de weg om voor de familie een lekker maal te bereiden. Eten kan ook eventueel buiten op de overdekte veranda. Elke (ruime) slaapkamer heeft eigen toilet en douche waar absoluut niets op aan te merken is. Wij hebben hier een lang weekend met de familie en kleinkinderen doorgebracht. Leuke plaatsen kortbij, Oudewater en Montfoort.

Great Location!

Our group of 6 enjoyed 2 weeks at this wonderful rental home on a working dairy farm. The cows paraded by our windows each morning and evening on their way to and from the pasture. Being in a central location, we were able to take many day trips visiting beautiful cities and towns, including The Hague, Delft, Gouda, Leiden, Haarlem, Kinderdjik, and of course, Amsterdam. Marga is a gracious host and was always available with suggestions for places to visit and things to do. The house is well equipped and comfortable. It is located between 2 small towns only a few minutes drive, both of which have grocery stores, bakeries, shops and restaurants and also are lovely places to visit and explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fabulous Gathering Place

Everyone in our group of 8 loved this property. It was clean, decorated beautifully, and had all the amenities needed. Two of the ladies in our group wanted to go home and decorate their house to match Marga's design. You could tell she put her heart into creating an aesthetically pleasing place. And, Marga herself, is a wonderful host. She was available whenever we had questions, emailed us information about the area and the places to see. The property is truly in the middle of the Netherlands, making it easy to go any direction. After our full days of venturing to different parts of the country, we always looked forward to coming back to this place to relax. It truly was a home away from home. Being cattle ranchers, we loved seeing the cows and horses near the house and the wild rabbits running out in the field. All in all, this was a perfect place for our group. I highly recommend it, especially to those having larger groups.

Best lodgings!

This accommodation was everything advertised and more! We were greated warmly by our host ( Marga) the first day, who graciously allowed us to store our luggage in the rental as we arrived earlier than expected. She is very knowledgable about places to go, things to do, and we took all her suggestions! Her energy is catching, as she shares her passion about farm life, the rental, and places of interest to visit. Our first day, we enjoyed beautiful Oudewater, an amazingly beautiful town with wonderful food ,sites, and shops .The butcher and bakery became our favourite! The ready meals were fantastic! We were able to enjoy everything Dutch at the local shops and markets. ( Thanks for the tip, Marga! ) With such a great location, day trips were a breeze. To name a few, Alkmaar, Woerdan,Delft,Zeeland,Overloon,Den Haag, and Belgium( wonderful Ghent) are all a short drive away. Easy access to the highway, but yet so peaceful and serene, this rental was a balm to return to after a busy day sightseeing! We stayed 2 weeks. The rooms are beautifully decorated, extremely clean,quiet and easily accessible. The spacious main living area allowed for wonderful mealtimes together ( we were a party of 4-6), or a quiet read by the window, with a separate loft escape ( with TV). Enjoyed the great beauty of this amazing farm! The open space, a walking trail, and the cows so close by were a highlight everyday. A special thank you to Dik for sharing his passion of farming with our husbands! Having the opportunity to watch the babies being born, visit the barn, and ask questions ( from farming to war history) was very special! If you are travelling to Holland, ( sorry, officially now to be called The Netherlands) do yourself a favor and stay at this rental. Once again, Thank you to Dik,Marga and family for providing a wonderful guest experience! The Canadian crew are grateful for the memories!

Great Vacation

We stayed with 8 adults and 4 children ages 10-16. The house was perfect for our group of 12. We very much enjoyed the Dutch landscape (farm and cows), away from the busy cities and yet driving distance to all major attractions. Our host was very nice and helpful.

Wunderschön

Ein sehr schönes und modernes Haus mitten auf einem Bauernhof. Von der Terrasse aus schaut man direkt auf die Kuhweide und vom Haus aus kann man fast alle wichtigen Punkte in Holland in kurzer Zeit erreichen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und sind jederzeit erreichbar. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

This vacation house was the best ever. Right in the heart of Holland . Close to everything there is to do and see in Holland. Close to many small unique little towns in the area with great restuarants. Real Dutch landscape.The house had all the amenities that you need or want . Also plenty of room in the main family room if you have a large group. We had a family of 9 and everyone had a enough space and room throughout the house as well as in the bedrooms for their own privacy. Our hostess Marga and her family were the best I can't say enough good things about them.. Very accommodating and very personable for anything we asked about.As a working farm this is a unique home and very interesting. As a grandfather visiting the country where I was born and with our children and grandchildren this was our best vacation ever and the best place ever. Thank you Marga and family
