Charming hillside 3 bedroom cottage with sauna

Delightful, quirky, three bedroom cottage with gorgeous valley views.
On multiple levels with exposed beams throughout.

Gorgeous views across the valley with wonderful sunsets.
2 large double bedrooms, one smaller room with two singles.

Bedsheets and towels are provided.

Well appointed and recently decorated throughout.

Sauna with seating for 3 people.

Large deck with covered dining area, outdoor furniture and firepit.

Outdoor patio and rambling hillside garden with terraces, ponds and fruit trees and bushes.

Located a 10 min downhill walk along the side of a wood to Ledbury town and close to a supermarket.

The cottage is a 10-15 minute walk to Ledbury station.

Ledbury is a charming market town with cobbled streets, a market house, and wattle and daub buildings.

Rose cottage is located in the Malvern Hills OANB and on the edge of Forestry Commission woodland there are several walks available from the front door. A 5 minute drive will take you to the Malvern hills, with many longer walks on hand, including the iron age settlement of British Camp.

Amenities include: WiFi , large TV (Netflix, Now TV, Disney+, Prime video), dishwasher, board games, record player, and parking for up to three cars.

PLEASE NOTE: Rose Cottage is located on a fairly steep hill and is therefore not suitable for those who have impaired mobility. Getting from the parking space to the house alone involves a long set of steps, and the house is situated on four levels. There are no beds available on the ground floor. There are several steep drops in the garden and is therefore not recommended for families with young children.

I've lived here for five years, but I spend a lot of time with my partner who lives across the country, so the house is empty much of the time.

Why they chose this property

The cottage sits at the foot of the Malvern Hills, at the edge of the Malvern Hills AONB. There are great walking trails right from the front door, and many more hill walks a short 5 minute drive including to British Camp, an iron-age settlement. Historic Ledbury town is less than a 10 minute walk away along a path down the side of wood, with unique boutique shops and several restaurants. There are cobbled Tudor streets and a stilted market house and . There's a Tesco supermarket at the bottom of the hill. Great Malvern is a 15 minute drive away with a wide variety of larger shops and entertainment

What makes this property unique

Rose Cottage is a very distinctive property, which is set on a steep hill. The house and garden are both on multiple levels with separate, yet connected areas affording many places to sit or wander. In the summer, the garden has abundant fruits (plums, berries, currants, apples) and flowers of all kinds. Visitors to the house often comment on its calm and grounding feel which makes it ideal for a weekend retreat or longer escape.
