We love splash, we have visited multiple times. This is the first time we’ve used panhandle though. Check in was rough. After a 10 hr car ride with 6 people including a toddler, we arrived at 5:45, and the room had not been cleaned. Using the app we called the housekeeping manager. They came right up, but we had to leave and leave our stuff in the room. So, we grabbed our swimsuits and hit the beach. Two hrs later we had not it received a call to go back up so we just did. Room looked great, but bedding-blankets were missing, which they brought the next day while the babies were napping. The staff knocked, but I was in the shower, and my husband had gone to the store, my oldest (age 11) didn’t feel comfortable opening the door... but the staff just came in anyways, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. They left the bedding in the hallway once they realize we were there in the room. Over all the stay was great. Kids had a blast. My only complaint was the common door code changed in the middle of our stay without warning or notice. My cell battery had died from all the videos/pics, I had 4 wet, cold and hungry kids stuck in a breezy hallway for an hr. We we called every number on the panhandle website from my husbands phone ( it was 8pm) but no answer. Maintenance, housekeeping, managers, staff, emergency needs, no answer. I didn’t know what to do. After an hr I was able to retrieve a deleted email, load the app on my husband’s phone, by a miracle remember my login info, my booking info, and found that the code had changed. If I wouldn’t have I don’t know how my family would got in the room that night? There were no staff onsite. We looked for the security guard that was usually by the pool at night and but could find no one. We had a wonderful time just some bumps. I will stay here again and again but I will have backups and more back ups to get in The room.
