Great view

Great view - ocean, mountains, waterfall. Good starting point for hikes. The steps in the house from first to second floor are very small and steep. Not suitable for children and elderly people. Surroundings were absolutely quiet - the street up was closed at this time.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Ocean not visible apart from from hall way. Really odd layout. Roof has very rusty furniture we would not use and what is not shown is there is a building /rubbish site on one side with a portaloo and the other side of property can be seen into from road.Dirty -dirt on floor, surfaces, grubby cupboard doors /handles, bathroom unit drawer had loads of hair in. Broken chair; old toothpick lying on chair. Bedroom damp and made clothes damp. Cold.Fiasco for 3 hours with alarm going off on entry. Not advised the access was restricted due to road closure. Really difficult to communicate with -emails sent of concerns and nothing done to address. Had 2 other lots of accommodation in Madeira which were excellent -this was really poor and we spent 13 hours out a day as it was not comfortable /relaxing at the property -waste of money.
