We had a lovely stay for a family celebration. A great place for entertaining (the kitchen has everything you need) and the views from every window are stunning. The garden is glorious and the kids enjoyed having their own space at the bottom of the garden. The location is fab as we walked into grassmere a few times and had a lovely meal at the swan. Ambleside is also a short drive. Would def recommend it.

Stunning Property

Absolutely stunning property in a stunning location. Dog friendly as well. We had a family long weekend stay. 9 of us with 3 dogs. A wonderful stay with some wonderful memories made. Well worth the money spent. Highly recommended.

Excellent trip

We had a great time at Helm View. The property is immaculate and beautifully presented. Lots of towels, kitchen equipment, hot tub towels and toys and games. The location is very handy and close to the main road, but at the same time feels peaceful and secluded. Perfect place to explore the lakes. We would highly recommend a stay at Helm View and would book again!

Autumn family break

6 family members and 2 close friends, aged 22-96y - and 1 6 month old kitten - stayed for a week. The house was wonderful - with plenty of space for a couple of groups to have different activities. The views were amazing and the garden beautiful! We also really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars. The team looking after the house were really helpful with queries.

Spacious property with spectacular views

We had smooth communication with the host prior to arrival and we were delighted with the welcoming basket of goodies awaiting us. The facilities in the property were excellent and everything we required was provided. The large house and garden meant there was ample space for our group of eight. The design of the house affords spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the location is perfect - within comfortable waking distance of the town centre. We would definitely recommend and plan to visit again.

Beautiful property! The location by the river, the backyard, and the house itself was beautiful and exactly as pictured and described. Some of the dishes were not cleaned fully when pulled out, while they let us know ahead no mattress in the pack and play was a bit strange, and there was no soaps for laundry or shampoo/soap in the showers. For the price those amenities were expected. I was also disappointed with the limited checkin and checkout options given homes managed by the same company allowed a checkin on other days. The staff were responsive and the welcome basket was a very nice surprise. Would stay again but there was room for improvement.
