Serene and rustic cottage on the edge of the woods overlooking a private 10-acre pond.

You will want to share the experience with a group of your best friends or your family. If you are here for an event at VIR, you can unwind from your day and relax to the sounds of nature all around while rocking in the chair on the covered porch or in the yard under the stars. Bring your fishing rod and enjoy casting your line and reeling in a few largemouth bass if you are so inclined. As you sit quietly, you will start to see the local wildlife characters appear.. . the woodpeckers, owls, hawks, herons, geese, ducks, deer, otters, beaver, turkeys...

Merrybrook Cottage is also ideal for small group retreats, writers retreats, and reunions. It is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath house with 6 beds and a fully equipped kitchen. We also can provide additional rooms at the Villa Cathedral B&B on the adjoining property that is part of the Williamson Farm.

We love sharing our family farm with people who appreciate a quiet, rural setting. Merrybrook Cottage and Villa Cathedral B&B are both part of Williamson Farm (190 acres), a Virginia "Century Farm" that has been in our family since the late 1800's.

Why they chose this property

Merrybrook cottage is secluded from the road and the nearest neighbors, very private and serene. There are woods, open fields, the lake and wildlife to be enjoyed.
