About the host

Janet began guiding as a white water canoeist and cave specialist in southern Missouri. She was a climbing guide assistant for Alpine Adventures, in Yosemite National Park. Janet learned to row a raft on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon and became a river guide for Parklands River Expeditions in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Assisting Jackson Hole Mountain Guides, Janet had the opportunity to be first woman, second ascent on various climbs throughout the Western United States.
Janet graduated from Bikram Yoga College of India in 2001. She has built two traditional hot yoga studios: one in Jackson, Wyoming and the other in Kilauea on Kauai.
Janet is completing her research on the dances, petroglyphs, tattoos and wooden carvings of the early navigators of the Pacific Ocean.
Janet is a PADI certified diver.
