We love sanibel, have been going for years. In my opinion probably the best beach town in FL. This is coming from a Floridian. Now with that said one thing I forgot to think about was this town was torn apart by a large hurricane only a few years ago. We had thought the town had come back. There is allot of construction going on around the house. While we were there they were working on the sewer and knocked out our water twice. They were jack hammering at 8 am everyday. If you think about relaxing on the porch drinking your coffee think again. The middle unit has visible water damage on the walls and has a musty humid smell to it. The two down stairs units are totally re done. I’m giving it two stars because the owner really tried her best but the construction around the was terrible. I had to run to the beach everyday at 9 am to get away from the noise.
We rented the entire house for 6 days and it was perfect for our group. The home was very clean and the host was responsive. It is a short, easy walk to the beach and there are loads of backpack beach chairs! Bring your own shade. We rented bikes and used them to get most everywhere on the island. We would stay here again!
Our family of all ages had a wonderful time staying here with plenty of room for all 15 of us and our dogs. The home was perfectly described. The owner was great and responded quickly. We would definitely stay here again.
We rented all 3 units for our family group of 6 adults and 3 children. It was terrific! A typical old Florida style house, less than a block from the beach, with plenty of room for family members to gather, kids to play, etc. Very private. Very comfortable. We met the property owner once and she was very nice and accommodating. We highly recommend this property.
Units need to be renovated, repaired and thoroughly cleaned. Old carpets, moldy smell in studio which we thought was a 1 bedroom, ants in all units , water damage in the upstairs unit, air conditioning stuck on 69 in that unit on first night , maggots in garbage cans outside, furniture worn, efficiency bed springs creaky with every move, base boards & paneling coming apart/rotted due to moisture, outside openings under building with junk underneath, wood with nails, units had damp rid in them, rusty pipes exposed in studio bathroom, etc… I let the owner know about our disappointment and her reply was that she maintains the units , pays a lot to have them cleaned, water damage and other issues due to previous guests and that we should stay somewhere else next time. If you want to party and do not care about Covid, comfort etc. this place is for you. If not, don’t stay there. Photos and recent reviews are not accurate. So disgusting
We were a group of families with kids ranging in age from 1-10. The house was a great spot for a vacation. It was a short walk to a great beach and easy access to the biking trails. We cooked many meals in the two kitchens and used the grill. The beds and linens were nice and there was space for all. They had plenty beach chairs and other beach items available and a place to rinse off after the beach. There was enough space to park 4 vehicles.
Be sure to bring your own ice, paper products and lots of bug spray for the evening.
We would definitely stay here again and thought it was a great value for price!
Our stay was awesome! Everything you could need was there. Lots of room for a group. Great location by beach!!!!! Will be coming again!

A great family vacation spot!
We had a great time with three generations and two families - ranging in age from 11 months to 70 years! The house worked well for the group, with a perfect location (easy access to the beach) and a yard filled with bunnies to entertain the little ones. The only potential addition that would have made the setting perfect would have been an outside hose for washing feet before entering the house.

We are happy to let you know that we have added an outside shower and hose to rinse your feet once you return from the beach.
Thank you Elinor, we enjoyed hosting your family.
