The cottage was an ideal place for a three-generation family gathering. Very comfortable and well equipped, lots of space (indoors and outdoors), a truly delightful location on a beautiful estate and lots to do in the coast and countryside of East Devon and Dorset.

The location is incredible as is the building. Water pressure struggles a little if more than one person is using it.

Weekend away .

We have had a great weekend stay for our family. Perfect in every way for what we required. Although the beech path was closed - which was a shame.

Thank you for choosing Middlemist. Pleasure to have accommodated you! Very sorry you couldn't enjoy the beach, the weather can trigger slides which can sometimes take out the path down to the beach. Glad you enjoyed it nonetheless!

Country estate

Our accommodation was in one wing of a building built around a courtyard (once the stables of the Manor house nearby. All rooms were generously proportioned & the kitchen was extremely well stocked with pans & other utensils. The main lounge opened on to green space with a table & chairs for our use. There was a second sitting room upstairs . Of the four double bedrooms, two were were on the first floor, with two others up separate flights of stairs, two were ensuite with a family bathroom serving remaining two bedrooms. There are walks for residents to enjoy around the Estate, which include access to a private beach - although the path down is steep in places & took us much longer than on-site information suggested! A beautiful setting & comfortable, spacious accommodation.

Fabulous property, a bit quirky, plenty of space for all 9 of us. A very well stocked kitchen. Beautifully situated in Dorset countryside. Me and my family had a great time.Private beach was great, a beautiful 35 min walk down to it.There were a few things amiss, a few of the toilet seats needed securing, a few large cobwebs around but to be honest none of that mattered to us. We loved it!
