Booked a trip to this lake house to relax before school started. The location is beautiful. Steps to the lake with a perfect dock to spend time on or jump/dive from. Also a very short drive to town so if you are someone that likes mixing a lake vacation with runs to the coffee shop and a few great meals for dinner, this is the spot for you. We spent every day on the dock with the kids, reading, swimming, fishing, or just floating. Kayaks are available and we used them often. We've been to Sebago and a few other lakes in the area and were really impressed with Highland. The water quality was excellent and the size was perfect. Big enough for motorized water sports, but calmer and plenty suitable for paddle boarding and kayaking. The house itself was adequate for our needs and communication with the owner was great. Very accessible without being overbearing. Instructions were perfect upon check-in and we had no issues. Thanks for a great end to the summer!
We had a wonderful time at this lake front property. The location is convenient to downtown Bridgton but also feels private. The house is 3 floors with so much room and had everything we needed for our stay. The best is the outdoor area leading to the lake, the dock and a wonderful deck off the living room. Kristen, thanks for being a great host!
Kristen is a wonderful host. She’s welcoming and very accommodating. Since she spends the winters at the property, she takes great care to make sure the place is comfortable for her guests as well. Location is spectacular and having the privacy of a dock was a huge advantage. The outside property is quite lovely with plenty of space to relax and take in the beautiful sunsets.
We had a great time on Highland Lake this week! Our grandkids enjoyed the lake and Pop Pop pulling them around the lake with our boat on the raft. Fish weren't biting though and we had a few days of rain. But regardless, we enjoyed our stay in the Bridgeton area and even ventured up to Augusta to a winery! We will be back to Highland Lake again!
My family had a great time at the property. Communication and interaction with the owner was pleasant and easy. The dock and waterfront was amazing. We had a great time swimming, kayaking, and enjoying our time at the lake.
We loved swimming and kayaking on such a peaceful lake. Beautiful views. Kristen was an excellent host.
It did get very hot during our visit so we had to retreat to the 2 rooms with A/C in the evening.
We had a blast at this beautiful, loved, lake side property. The house had everything we needed and our 7 year old loved jumping off the dock. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need and communication with the property owner couldn’t have been better! Thank you for having us!
The location is perfect. The home is close enough to walk to town, but still feels like you are in the woods. We had ample room with three bedrooms and 2 baths to accommodate our family. There are many beautiful flower beds located thru out the property. The lake is right there and the dock is a good size.
Our family loved the house on highland lake. I can't think of anything it did not have. Highlights are: excellent mountain views, dock, ladder, kayaks, towels, totally equipped kitchen, loads to do if you want to explore the area, and a very responsive host. This is a well loved family lake house, not a sterile investment property. We're thrilled we booked it and hope to return.
