Couldn't have picked a more ideal place to spend our vacation. Everything was very thoughtful in terms of amenities, organization, location, etc. The rooms were well equipped for our family of 6, the kitchen was outfitted well, there was thoughtful outside and inside space so everyone had ample room. Good equipment for enjoying the lake (kayaks and canoe). The hosts were very easy to communicate with and check in and check out were simple. It was really a super space if you're looking for a place to enjoy the lake and unwind.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and it did not disappoint. It has everything you need to thoroughly enjoy the lake and surroundings!
We had a wonderful stay in this home. Everything we needed was there and in good condition. The lake was not too busy,so taking the kids tubing was safe and fun. Would definitely return
As advertised. Great place. Spacious and has everything you will need. Great spot on the lake. Owners made everything easy. We would definitely stay again.
Our family stayed here August 9 through August 16. We All really enjoyed our week. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Everything was in working order. The deck was the most popular gathering spot. We would highly recommend to anyone interested in a relaxing get away. If Matt ever wants to sell, I request he give us a call. Thank You!!
The home is everything you need for a peaceful stay on beautiful Crescent Lake. The hosts are very responsive and make all efforts to accommodate all your needs. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful home, wonderful location, very private. The home and grounds were both very well maintained. Being pet friendly was definitely a plus for me, as my sister had her little Boston Terrier with her. The lake view was awesome, especially from the dock. We saw a pair of loons every day! I only had to contact our host on one occasion, and he responded within minutes. Matt was very helpful and pleasant. The only negative for me was that I couldn’t stay longer. I hope to return for a longer stay, and would highly recommend this property.
The home is clean and peaceful. My kids and I did a ton of fishing, boating, and swimming out on the pristine lake. Very private, we enjoyed the fire pit, the hosts left us ingredients to make smores. Would stay again!
This rental was by far the most well appointed, comfortable, spacious and well-stocked of any we have stayed in. The lake was beautiful and quiet and the home was close to golf and hiking. Our grandchildren were dazzled by the “secret room” and never wanted to leave it.
The property was beautiful and so well stocked. There was so much to do with the lake, kayaks, paddle boards and fire pit! We wanted for nothing! We highly recommend this rental.
The property was perfect for our needs with multi-generation family and two dogs. Only downside was that there was no town nearby to speak of with restaurants and shops for strolling. Other than that, it was just what we wanted.

Hi Nancy, thank you for your nice review. Did you you look into Naples, Maine? It is approximately 15 minutes away and has a fantastic downtown with restaurants, sidewalks, waterfront and live music. The City of Portland is just a bit further and has similar amenities.
Our family of six (two parents plus kids 10-14 yo) and some friends had a lovely week at this property in August 2023--despite fairly cloudy/rainy weather for much of the time! We found the listing to be quite accurate and communications with the owner (via call/text) to be easy. The owner and his cleaning crew were also kind enough to alert us immediately to a bag we mistakenly left behind, in time for us to easily retrieve it. The house had enough room for us to spread out comfortably, with privacy, and a well-appointed kitchen and dining area. The deck was lovely when the rain allowed. We swam and/or paddled (our own kayaks plus kayaks and SUPs provided by the owner) pretty much every day -- including close observations of bald eagles and loons on the lake. The loon calls at night were beautiful. The summer camp next door did not disturb us. A day trip down to Portland was an easy 40-45 minutes each way. We would definitely visit again!
Our group of five stayed for two weeks over June and July. The house is spacious, comfortable, and nicely appointed with a well-equipped kitchen.HighlightsThe deck was a favorite spot, offering sun and shade from morning to evening, a working gas grill, and excellent chairs. We made great use of the dock, lake, and provided water equipment. Seeing local wildlife and the friendly, waving neighbors were also positives. The secret room in the kids' room was a crowd pleaser. DrawbacksSeveral significant issues impacted our stay. The entire basement was unusable due to a strong musty odor. A noisy overnight camp on the adjacent property, sharing our waterfront, was not disclosed beforehand. Contrary to expectations, the lake is not visible from the house or deck due to trees.Access to the water is challenging via 22 steep, uneven granite steps with no handrail, posing a risk for anyone with stability concerns.Maintenance & CleanlinessWe encountered maintenance problems, including a broken vacuum, an overheating mixer, and a non-functional garage keypad. Much of the cooking equipment (pans, stovetop, grill) was dirty upon arrival. The linens were a collection of old, stained towels and sheets, and we found mold in the washing machine. These issues existed when we arrived and should have been addressed before we came, but were not. While a nice place, it does not live up to its "luxury" claim.
The home was lovely & well-equipped for our stay! Basic spices, plus. Plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, and pots & pans to accommodate our party. SO close to the lake. Tons of water toys available in the garage, although we were there for a late fall wedding and didn't use. Plenty of space for our adult children and their significant others. Plenty of bathrooms!! Easy check-in/check-out. This is mentioned in the listing, and I would certainly never attempt to access the property in the winter with my vehicle, would also be leery during heavy rains as the access road is thin, lots of twists & turns, and unpaved. Glad we arrived early in the afternoon! It was a gorgeous weekend, and the family thoroughly enjoyed the lakeside seating to take in the peace & views of the lake. Owners were very responsive. Close to shopping and restaurants.
Excellent property with lots of water toys and space to spread out! Kitchen had all essentials for prepping meals and was large enough for everyone to join in. Close enough to town for anything you may have forgotten to get but far enough out to really feel like you're getting away.
Outstanding experience. If I could give 10
Stars I would . This was my first experience renting in Maine. I live in Portland Maine and I was looking for a place to bring my dog and have different friends visit separately over the course of my stay. I wanted a place that was private, directly on the lake with a great kitchen, and private baths/sleeping for them. We’ll this hit every salient point- a beautiful large open kitchen, with a huge Viking stove . A gorgeous Weber grill and wrap around deck. In addition to the spacious and fantastically clean accommodations, outside on the deck we were mesmerized by the continual ‘National Geographic ‘ show of eagles feeding their juvenile and flying over head. The call of the loons was melodious to our ears and being able to melt s’mores (provided by the owner) brought us back to our youth. The gigantic TV in the living room was fun to entertain with as well.
Kudos to Matt + Carissa for providing such a wonderful experience in the Maine Woods~ 😋
Communication with property manager was easy and Matt was very careful during our stay. The whole property is great -spacious bedrooms, great balcony and private access to the lake. The kitchen is well equipped and they provided everything for a fun weekend - kayaks, canoe, stand up paddle, etc.
This was our second time staying at this lovely home because we had such a great time a few years ago. The house was just as we remembered it. Everything you might need is provided and the owner is super responsive. The power dipped briefly during a Summer thunderstorm and the generator kicked right in. We barely noticed. We'll be back!
beautiful location - well equipped home - dock, deck and firepit were outstanding!
