About this property
Best beach a bike ride away, and Charming Dowtown Dunedin a quick walk away
This absolutely charming 3/1.5 bed/bath single family home is the perfect getaway. Close to the beaches, 1 mile north of the town center of Dunedin, and 30 minutes to Tampa International Airport. The house is comfortable, with 1 King, 1 Queen and a twin day bed. The eat in kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, and you will find all of the necessities PLUS in the house.
For those considering a home office, the breezeway is fully enclosed, air conditioned and equipped with a wireless printer, wifi and a desk/chair. This is actually the best room in the house with windows on two sides.
The garden area out back features a screen enclosed seating area, and an outdoor shower; Jim added hot water last year and its a really nice option.
Very private and lushly landscaped.
Less than two blocks from the front door is the Pinellas Trail, a 30 plus mile rail to trail horizontal park, for walking, biking and skating. Three blocks away is a little bit of old Florida: 80 acre Hammock Park with walking trails, a butterfly garden, kayak launch and frisbee golf. Oh, and a playground and picnic pavillions to share.
The town of Dunedin boasts great restaurants and bars, plus the first local Brewery, Dunedin Brewery. Add to this weekly farmers markets and festivals. You will not be bored here!
Points to the north take you right out to Honeymoon Island and the beach there, and ferry to Caledesi Island. Points south lead you to downtown Clearwater and the Capitol Theater for live music and performance art. Cross the bridge to the most desirable sand beaches in Clearwater or Sand Key.
Golf courses, art museums and a delightful casual lifestyle greet you each day.

About the host
Hosted by Nancy and Jim Manning
We love Dunedin for its laid back vibe, and constant array of things to do: festivals, farmers markets, breweries, or simply
meeting friend at the marina for a drink at sunset. We walk everywhere, and enjoy all of the outdoor options in our backyard. We spend half the year here and the other half in Tampa. We enjoy golf at several courses within a ten minute drive, and heading out on the water in the Intracoastal or the Gulf of Mexico. We have been in Florida for decades, arriving here from Kentucky and New York.

Why they chose this property
This house has been in the family for about twelve years, used as a second home for most of that time. Since this location offers nearly everything you'd want for work/play balance, we relax here better than anyplace else.
Our favorite evening past time is to stroll across the street to one of the three "sunset" parks nested in our neighborhood. Friends gather here to celebrate the end of another day in paradise. Bring liquid refreshments to round out the stroll.
