Beautiful studio condo with legitimate ocean view from the nice lanai. Look across a green area right out to the ocean. There will be sunset views from your private lanai. Great use of space in this unit, with a queen size bed, full refrigerator, desk and chair for working, smart TV and high speed internet. There is a two-sided galley area for bath and simple food prep area. Great in-town location with items like restaurants, night spots, and shops literally steps away. Just across the street is a white sand beach but with lava rocks at entry. *****Price is per two guests. Really is best for two considering the size of the condo. ***** If owner agrees to additional guests, each additional guest is $50.00 per night. ****** Amenities at the Islander include a beautiful pool area with a large hot tub. There are two gas grills for the use of guests that opt to not eat out or use the items in the food prep area to cook and store foods. Full size refrigerator as well as a mini fridge. No stove top. Grounds are landscaped with an emphasis on local plants and the results are lush and colorful. Air conditioner was replaced in May 2024 . Pets are not allowed unless service animals and must coordinate paperwork with the association and your vet. The Islander is a well established condo complex in the heart of downtown Kona. With a large variety of eating establishments, farmer's market within a block and so many things to do. Look at taking the free trolly all over the greater Kona area. Tax ID 173-136-3840-01

Overall, everything was amazing. The host were so amazing. They let us check in early. The room was at an amazing location right across the street from the beach. It was pretty hard to access the water there, but the view was incredible. It was super close to everything. Would definitely recommend staying here. Definitely will be coming back.
The unit had everything for our stay. The location is great-- close to shopping, restaurants and best of all, the ocean is right across the street! Would definitely stay again.
Great spot a little dated close to everything walked right across the street to the ocean. It suited us just to sleep shower and even cook food and somebody must’ve left behind Band-Aids and peroxide. I was so glad to find that because I fell in the typos and was able to clean it and have a Band-Aid. Comfortable for two people we were able to buy food and cook her own meals, which made it a little more cost-effective for our vacation to enjoy other things. If I ever come back again, I would stay here.
This place was better than advertised. Right in the heart of Kona. Amazing restaurants within walking distance. Fun shops and things to do. You can hear the ocean from the patio. The management/owners were so great. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean. We would stay here again if we ever came back. 100%

My sister and I stayed in the Kona Islander Inn Condos before. But it was really nice to be on the ground floor. Great view of the beach and waves across the street. The street is a busy one, a main street so if car noise bothers you, you need one without a view. We loved the patio with bushes for privacy yet we could see over them in the higher patio chairs. It was easy to walk to any place to eat, The market a few blocks down,
I had a nice stay here. The apt. had everything I needed including snorkel gear that I was planning to rent but didn't need to because there was some available in the closet. The bed was very comfortable. One of the outlets in the kitchen didn't work but besides that everything was good.
This property was bright, clean and had all the stuff you would need for a great vacation, beach towels and chairs, boogie boards, dishes, etc. It was in the middle of the strip, across from the beach. Tons of shops and restaurants near by. Parking was tight if you came home too late, but there was street parking within 5 min. Our friends had rented another condo in the same building, but ours was heads and tails much better that theirs, from cleanliness to communication with the host. Our shower head holder had broken with the previous guest, and the owner had his maintenance man come fix it with in 24 hrs. Being on the strip, there was traffic noise during the day, but I would certainly stay there again.
Great place directly across from a lu5le beach spot. Very convenient to walk to food and shopping. Use of the beach chairs was awesome. Close to walmart and safeway. The complex is beautiful.
Snorkle gear and a small cooler were also handy!
You will enjoy being in the middle of things except for at night if you are on the street side. It is noisy with cars, music, and motorcycles. But it ends by midnight or sooner. Fun place
This is the perfect spot to check out everything Kona has to offer. You can walk to everything you need including a nice beach. You can watch the sunset from the lanai.
The only caution is that there is no place to put your clothes. There are hangers in the closet, but no available drawer space.
This minor inconvenience does not take away from this perfect location.
Great location, walking distance to restaurants, shopping and the ocean. Only downsize is the parking. There is not enough parking stalls for all the units. We had to park on the street.
We enjoyed our stay very much! The apartment is a studio with room for two people. The best parts are the location and the lovely patio. Guests need to know that parking is difficult, but once a spot is found, you can leave it and walk to activities.
Had everything we really needed, and a beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai.
In the center of Kailua, we could walk to multiple restaurants and beaches.
When we contacted the owners with an issue, it was handled promptly.
I loved the overall location in terms of proximity to stores and food but the beach across the street was rocky and inaccessible. Plus, the street noise with people blaring music is non stop even into the late hours. The good news is that the slider blocks most of the noise :-) I wish the place had a few more amenities like a hot plate, kleenex, and bit more cleanliness. This is pretty handicap accessible for someone who needs little/no stairs but parking is nuts, so unless you're back by 5, you're walking downhill and FAR. I didn't mind but just something to keep in mind. Owners communication was helpful. Overall a solid 4 stars.
