Little Buckley is a charming 18C cottage in Sidbury, bought to you by Pure Sage Holidays, Devon. Spacious and well-equipped, it accommodates six guests with a wood-burning stove, kitchen, Wi-Fi, parking, enclosed garden, and BBQ. Guests also have private use of a wild field opposite, perfect for dogs, with a natural stream (use at own risk). Near the Jurassic Coast, explore villages, beaches, and attractions or relax in the peaceful garden.



The Space:

Welcome to Little Buckley, a perfect blend of comfort and countryside charm. This gem of a property offers generous accommodation for up to six guests with high quality furnishings, including 2 flexi super king / twin beds and one king size bed.

The cottage also features a family bathroom and a convenient downstairs shower room.



The spacious living room provides plenty of comfortable seating, including a reclining sofa, a smart television and an attractive inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove for those cosy nights in.



There’s a fully equipped kitchen including Induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine to meet all your needs. Boasting a separate dining room along with a charming summer room which overlooks the pretty and tranquil fully enclosed garden, which in turn provides a safe haven for both children and pets alike. Two patios offer outdoor seating along with a barbeque for those evenings when guests are not sampling the wonderful food in the village’s local pub, The Red Lion.



For safety, please note that stair gates are installed at both the top and bottom of the stairs.



For guests with dogs, Little Buckley also offers exclusive use of a privately owned wild field just opposite the property. This spacious area provides plenty of room for dogs to run freely and enjoy the outdoors. The field is open into a natural stream, making it a lovely spot for adventurous pups to paddle. Please note that use of the field and stream is at guests' own risk.



There is also Wi-Fi in the property and an office space for those guests that need to do a little work away from home.



The cottage has its own parking space on a gravel driveway for 1 car and there is also parking along the lane opposite the cottage as well as in the free car park in the village.



Sidbury is a very pretty historic village and was mentioned in the Doomsday book. It has a friendly pub serving good food, a village shop, cricket club and a dog Cafe all just a few minutes walk away from the cottage. The Church in the center of the village is one of the few churches in Devon with a Saxon crypt. For Agatha Christie fans there is an intriguing link with Sidbury to discover!



Little Buckley is situated on the walking route of the East Devon Way, and the River Sid runs alongside the adjacent lane under a picturesque bridge, perfect for playing Pooh sticks!

There is also a regular bus service to the coastal town of Sidmouth and beyond.



The area is dotted with historic and quaint fishing villages including Beer and Branscombe, where you can enjoy the fresh catch of the day or a cream tea! The coastline also boasts scenic clifftop walks along the famed Southwest Coastal Path. The surrounding countryside is beautifully un-spoilt, with intriguing market towns of Honiton, known for its numerous antique shops, Ottery St Mary, famous for its flaming tar barrels festival in November, Budleigh Salterton and East Budleigh where Sir Walter Raleigh was born, along with the nearby Regency town of Sidmouth, where you can enjoy restaurants, cafes, shopping and cinema. Additionally, Lyme Regis, located on the Devon / Dorset border, is just a short drive away, perfect for fossil hunters and foodies!
