The host was easy to communicate with amd gave great recommendations for excursions and restaurants. The house is in a convenient location to walk to all the stores and restaurants. Expect some downtown noise, but benefit of being downtown overrides it. The house had comfortable beds and all essential amenities. We enjoyed the day pass to Baldi hot springs, ziplining, safari float and coffee/chocolate tours. Highly recommend!

Great stay!

We had a great stay at A&E House! Gustavo was a phenomenal host and the home was perfect for our family. Location was conveniently located between several sightseeing spots and the food options by the house were also amazing. The house is minutes walk to all the restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here! We really appreciated his prompt responses from the time that we booked the place and hope to be back soon.

Highlight of our Trip!

We spent four nights at the "A&E house" and had an incredible experience. The house was spotless, beautifully upgraded, and even came with umbrellas, which we used frequently due to the daily rain. Gustavo was the best host we've ever encountered. He arranged several excursions for us, including ziplining and hot springs, and connected us with an outstanding local guide who led us on an Arenal hike, pointing out wildlife we would have missed on our own. The highlight of our stay was when "Uncle Tavo," as my kids affectionately call him, cooked dinner for us. Gustavo, a trained chef, prepared an authentic meal and involved the kids as his "sous chefs," which they absolutely loved. We left the A&E house feeling like we had made a lifelong friend, not just met a host.
