Superb cottage in immaculate condition. Would have coped with four people easily, although there were only two of us. Everything was spotless, it was incredibly well equipped (apart from no scissors which it turns out we use far more than we realised!). We would suggest that recycling instructions are provided - we googled them for the area and hope we got it right, but this is unusual these days. Very central location for exploring. We visited Whitby , Ripon and York. Closer to home we would recommend Staveley nature reserve and a wander into Boroughbridge, which has so many independent shops, including five bakeries and an amazing butcher.

We loved our stay at this cottage, it’s had nearly everything that we needed but for some reason there was no bottle opener. If you are travelling with a baby or toddler be advised you need to bring your own travel cot/ high chair etc but we anticipated this so this was no issue for us. The decor was beautiful, the cottage was lovely and warm and the en suite shower was spectacular. We had such a lovely time that we didn’t want to leave. The cottage itself is easy to find, very close to main transport links and local attractions and towns to visit.
