Location and view were awesome. Cabin was dirty had to clean bathrooms to use kitchen dishes pots etc had dried food on them flooring was very dirty had to wear shoes. Couch is torn and duct taped on top. Towels were paper thin place could be so nice if he hired cleaners.

The floors had been vacuumed, and mopped with bleach. There was no dried food on the dishes. The bathrooms were clean.

Love this place! Gary is a great host. This was our 3rd time staying here. That should tell you something. ;-) We like the Brevard area and there are many places to fish that are near by.

Gary was prompt at meeting me at the location. Very nice/accurate communication via VRBO. The view off the back of the property was amazing. Mountains above the trees and early morning mist.He has the most ingenious way to heat the location by forced fan fire place. Laundry equipment also available. Well stocked customer use pantry with incidentals in case forgotten.Will diffidently rent again!

People considering renting this property should know that the photos and description do not match several realities of the house. The description of the view is absolutely true. Sitting on the back porch, enjoying the valley and mountains, is very nice. Cleanliness was spotty as the kitchen was clean but bathrooms were not - bugs and dirty toilets in both. The stone fireplaces are showpieces but the one in the lower level does not function. The fireplace in the upper level generates so much heat that windows and doors need to stay open while in use. The only A/C in the building is a small, noisy window unit in the living room of the upper level. There is no cooling downstairs. One downstairs "bedroom" is a bed in the open area that is visible from above when looking down the stairwell and one must walk past it to reach the back door. The other two downstairs bedrooms are windowless rooms in that part of the structure built into the hillside. The lower level is a walk-out basement, exiting onto a pleasant, grassy terrace. There is plenty of firewood and we enjoyed the firepit - once we burned off the accelerant used by someone renting before us. It smelled of diesel for close to the first hour of use. The Brevard area is a great visit.

The house is ECXATLY as the photos show it. What supposedly needed cleaning in the barh room? The fire pit was set up to be easly started because most people do not know how to start a fire, It was set up to make it easy for the guests. Ifr the place was not clean enough for the people I would have cleaned it to their satisfaction .

Great location, close to downtown Brevard. Only around 30 minutes to downtown Hendersonville. Host was great. The chalet was cute, but could have been cleaner. It had everything you would need and the view was perfect!

Great location, beautiful views, the cabin has so much personality. We had a girls’ weekend with six of us coming and going and had no trouble with parking and room for all to sleep. Gary was very friendly when he met me to check in and made sure I got all the info I needed, and was very helpful when one of us left an item behind. Great place for a getaway.

Gary was great, and is about as easy-going as they come. The property and view are absolutely stunning, and there is plenty of room indoors and for outdoor activities. Fire pit and grill downstairs for cookouts and keeping warm, and an amazing mountain view for your sunrises and sunsets. We are very happy we picked Gary's beautiful cabin to stay, and I hope we get to stay again next year!! Thank you for making this such a great experience for me, my family, and my friends!!!

Lovely View
