What a wonderful time our family enjoyed! The setting is picturesque, and the house is immaculately clean, very spacious, and well-equipped. We had a three-month old, a two-year old, and five adults, and everyone was happy and comfortable the entire stay. Many thanks to the owners for sharing their special treasure!
We had such a nice time at Debbie and Mike’s place. It is such a beautiful property with so much to do in one spot. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The pool and pond provided hours of entertainment. Debbie was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. We will certainly be back to visit again!
Owners are very ‘hands-on’ and visited the home each morning to clean the pool.
The pond has a ton of fish and a little boat to row out on- kids loved it!
The home is clean and spacious and the bedding/linens are clean, comfy and higher quality than most homes!
Directly across from the pond is a wedding venue, so you might want to check and see if there are large parties or a wedding booked during your stay. (Perhaps they don’t rent the house during weddings..? Not sure, but I’d check!)
There is a fire pit and a full bath near the pool which was lovely.
The house is easy to get to; fun to stay in and easy to enjoy. About a 20 minute ride to Asheville and close to a Walmart and a few local restaurants.
We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely return!
When we first decided to stay here we thought the pictures of the place looked great. Let me just tell you, the pictures don’t do it justice! The whole property was amazing. They had everything we needed and more. Everyone had a great and relaxing time. The host met us at the house to let us know of all the amenities and give us some ideas on local places to eat. We had plenty to do hanging out at the property and really only left for dinner each night. If relaxing and spending time with family is a priority on vacation then I highly recommend booking this property.
House has a good open kitchen and living area, which was awesome as one of our family uses a walker. Master bed/bath were really spacious, and there's a TV in each bedroom. The house sits in a large open area, which gave us plenty of room to walk around and visit the pond.
My wife, our daughter (9 yo), and I stayed here for four days. It was totally relaxing! The property offered a sense of total seclusion despite being only 5 minutes from the grocery store and down town (due to the property being tucked behind a residential neighborhood). The pool was amazing, and stocked with many different toys and pool accessories (e.g. floaties). The pond was awesome and when the owner came early one morning to put the pool robot in, he noticed we were going fishing and kind went out of his way to purchase some live worms for us to use as bait and brought them to us. In total, this place was exceptional and would be great for larger groups as well. We loved it.
We had the best time at this amazing property! Our family of 5 enjoyed the pond, fishing, pool and outdoor adventures in the neighboring city of Asheville. The owners are very kind and generous and made us feel welcome from the second we arrived. We can’t wait to come back!
What a beautiful home and location! We loved everything about our stay. The home was super clean and communication with Deb was very easy. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and fishing in the pond-- we didn't even have to leave the property. We would love to come back and stay again!
We had a fantastic time staying at this property! I’ve never stayed at a vacation property that was as clean as this one! The owners take pride in their property and it shows! Debbie was great to work with and we will definitely stay here again!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the pool and pond being a large part of the attraction. The place was spotless. Debbie and Mike were both so nice and helpful with anything we needed. Lots of privacy.
Great place to stay while doing day trips to surrounding area, if you can pull yourself away from the pool and pond.
This place is absolutely amazing! The pictures do not do the property justice. The property and house were immaculate! The property itself is massive, and our family had a blast exploring the grounds. The pond is absolutely gorgeous, and the owners provided us with fresh bait so we could go fishing.. The pool was pristine, and having a full bathroom a couple feet away was very convenient. The house was easily the cleanest rental we have every stayed in, and had plenty of room for our two families. We went into this trip expecting to spend the majority of our time in Asheville, but ended up leaving the property only a couple of times to get groceries. The owners were so kind, and provided us with anything we needed. We have found our vacation space in the mountains, and can't wait to go back.
There are not enough words to describe how great this property and owners are! Our family of 4 (parents + 2 kids, 12 & 16) plus one of their friends could not have been more comfortable and at home than at Reflections at the Pond! The views of the surrounding mountains coupled with the pool and pond were too amazing! We didn’t want to leave! Thanks to Debbie and Mike for making us feel like we were at home and giving us great directions to the bait shop (we caught some pretty bass and a few bream 😁)! We will definitely be returning for another week of chill family time and epic cornhole tournaments (plus adorable views of fat gophers)! Thanks Debbie & Mike!!
This rental was amazing and even better than advertised! The house itself was very clean and had everything you need/want on vacation. But the property is what makes this so great! Immaculate grounds with huge open spaces, a wonderful pool (that the owner comes and cleans early every morning), and a picturesque private pond with a covered dock as well as a floating dock! There were deer, bunnies, and groundhogs on the property everyday, which our kids loved! There's even a structure down at the pool with a full bath, so you don't have to run back and forth to the house while using the pool. Owners were extremely nice and helpful. This property is perfect for your family getaway! Highly recommend!
We loved our stay at this beautiful house and property! Everyone in our group had a wonderful time. The house was clean and comfortable, the pool was fantastic, the setting was spectacular, and the hosts were lovely and responsive. We would absolutely come back.
This is a beautiful property in a private setting. It is a great place to get away and relax. You can travel to neighboring towns for day-trips or stay in to relax by the pool or fish in the pond. Owners were a pleasure to communicate with. This was a great way to enjoy western NC!
My mother, teen daughters, and I enjoyed a few days here to break up our trip between Michigan and Georgia. It's a great location within easy driving distance to Biltmore and the Arboretum. This is a beautiful, immaculate, and pleasant house and property, a very comfortable and relaxing place with everything we needed. Many thanks to Debbie and Mike for their hospitality!
This was the best vacation we have had as a family. The kids loved the pool and pond and my husband and I enjoyed the fire pit and relaxing setting. It felt like you were in the middle of the woods but if you need something you are 2 minutes from a store. Very cute little downtown. The owners were so friendly and responsive. We are already figuring out when we can go back!
The home was incredibly clean, the beds super comfy and the bathrooms were enormous. (The water pressure alone made me sad to leave!) We had a wonderful time on the property, which is expansive and great for playing sports, like basketball or football, or just walking around. The pool was great!
The hosts are very friendly. They have most of what you would need to cook—except for any perishables, like olive oil or spices—and lots of handy appliances (toaster, blender, coffee maker with filters). Maybe bring a cookie sheet if you need it, but otherwise you’re in great shape! It was great having a washer and dryer, too.
Overall, I’d highly recommend the home to my friends or family. If you have a toddler, like we did, just bring a mat for the extra softness for the floor. It was a fantastic stay!
We visited this property over the memorial day weekend of 2021 (extending the trip to a long weekend). The house was nicely maintained with adequate facilities(clean rooms, kitchen, t.v, wifi, towels etc). Nevertheless, I will highly recommend this property for it's serene and peaceful location and excellent pool /grounds.
Only bit we found a little idiosyncratic is lack of any condiments in the kitchen and lack of basic toiletries in the bathroom(soap etc.). May be it is just us as the previous properties we have stayed in all offered these in some fashion or other.
Also, bear in mind that downtown Canton offers limited food/restaurant options. So a drive of minimum15-20 minutes one way has to be factored in if planning to pickup food.
