The apartment is definitely cozy, in that it's decorated to feel comfortable, but it's tiny. This would not be the place for large people or people with severe claustrophobia. There's a very skinny glass door in the bedroom the opens onto a tiny patio. In the pictures it shows a little table and chair set, but it was just a drying rack when we were there. There's not a lot of air circulation, and no a/c, but thankfully there's a fan or else it would be uncomfortably stuffy. The only other window is a tiny square above the kitchen sink that opens to the building lobby, which is very old and dilapidated looking. The apartment is newly remodeled, though. We basically used the kitchen area as a passage to the bed/bath areas. There's little natural light to speak of there, and frequently there was a smell of sewage that seemed to originate from under the kitchen sink. There aren't many surfaces to put your belongings, so you have to shuffle things around, especially in the bathroom. The bed and bedroom were comfortable, and the location is very convenient for walking around (near Pink Street and Timeout Market). It's also affordable. So you have to weigh the pros and cons. If you're going to be spending your time exploring Lisbon and just need a place to sleep and shower, this is perfect.
