A lot of miscommunication as we approached the time of staying at the residence. wonderful location. Plenty of room. Nice accommodations and a beautiful view from all windows. if it didn’t play coast tension, the shower would leak and spray water all over the floor because it looks like there’s a seal that needs to be replaced on the shower door that keeps the water from going onto the floor. I’m all restaurants good in the area. very good in the area. The wine shop/restaurant at the bottom of the stairs was exceptional..

The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable and extremely well-located. Before arriving and on arrival, Jacqueline was quick to respond and very helpful. Arrival and greeting was all great.Perhaps she had a family emergency or something, but multiple messages to Jacqueline during our stay received no response. Fortunately, there was no emergency and I presume this is very unusual given other guests' comments.Overall, the apartment is very good and comfortable.

Jacqueline was a great host and very responsive to our request for early check-in and delayed check-out. The apartment looks like the photos posted on VRBO and has beautiful views of Firenze. However, it lacked some basic supplies we normally expect in VRBO accommodations, such as paper towels, dish towels, coffee, sugar, etc. The apartment would merit a higher rating if these small things were provided.

Dear John, Thank you very much for your feedback — it’s always helpful for us to improve. Just to clarify for our future guests, we always provide coffee, tea, sugar, salt, olive oil, and kitchen paper, so that everyone can enjoy a coffee in the morning. However, it’s true that we don’t provide kitchen towels for hygiene reasons, as part of our house policy. I’m truly sorry if you couldn’t find some of these items. It’s a pity that you didn’t reach out during your stay — especially since I shared my number and encouraged you to contact me in case you needed anything. For future stays, I kindly suggest that guests communicate directly with their host if something seems to be missing. Writing about it only in the review can sometimes create confusion and doesn’t allow us the chance to help right away — which is always our goal. We work very hard to ensure every guest has a pleasant and comfortable stay, and it’s disappointing when we learn about an issue only after checkout. Warm regards, Jacqueline

We arrived late but had let our host know well in advance but we were charged an additional 36 euros plus the daily tax is supposed to be 2.5 per day per person and we were charged five euros per per day per person. The suite indicates it is non-smoking. My husband and I both don’t smoke when I arrived. I had said to the gentleman that checked us in it smells like cigarette smoke to people smoke here? He said no no smoking. Well as a non-smoker, I know when people smoke and I can smell it very clearly so it became very clear fast, especially later on in the evening and in the morning when we woke up the house smelled like secondhand smoke, meaning that the people downstairs smoked inside and the smoke would travel upstairs this was really not pleasant. I had to keep the fan on in the kitchen in order to circulate the smell out.It has a washer, but it is not very good. Does not work well at all. Overall, the place met most of our needs. It’s set up well and spacious. There is grocery store and food, restaurants, etc. all around it’s pretty central to anything in Florence. Our disappointment was with the lack of communication with our host. There was zero communication at all, except to take our money, the secondhand smoke that smell, which was disgusting and the overcharging of fees which we found was excessive. Our hope is that the host will take this information into account and provide a better service in the future to someone else.

Charming apartment with stunning views

The apartment is spacious, well appointed, comfortable and with excellent air conditioning. The views are simply stunning, but this does come at a cost - it is up a steep hill and with several stairs. Beware of the lock on the front door. Just pull the door shut, don't key lock it. This may result in a broken key for which you will be charged.

Communication was poor. I tried contacting host 3 hours prior to check in since I had not heard anything. She replied back only asking what time we checked in. I told her 14:00. We heard nothing back. Tried 2-3 more times with no response. Called VRBO and they could not reach her either. After standing outside apartment 45 minutes, she replied her assistant would be there in 5 minutes. 20 minutes later, she arrived. Our 1st trip out, the key broke in door so we were outside again for another hour waiting for a new key. They need to explain the process to guests.Apartment was clean and nice location with good AC. Washer not working properly but think it was previous guest plugging it up by not using it properly. The dryer is just a drying rack, not machine. If you cannot climb stairs or steep hills, this is not a good place. We enjoyed the walking though. 20 minute walk from train station, taxis are hard to get in this area so you may need to go down the hill and call to meet one.Overall, communication was bad but we enjoyed our stay. Probably wouldn’t stay again because we wasted 2 hours on our first day just trying to get inside.

Appartement conforme à la description. Proche du centre ville, avec une très belle vue (lever du soleil magnifique !)Remise des clefs ponctuelles. Par contre un petit investissement dans une machine à café serait fort souhaitable ! On reviendra quand même !
