A lovely property in a great Deal location. There is plenty of space having two sitting rooms and a large kitchen diner which gives flexibility for everyone. The property was nice and warm (which in our experience is not always a given for a January break) and I would recommend Ivy House as a good all year round choice for a holiday in Deal.

Impractical as a holiday let because so well renovated, almost felt too nice to be rented.
Beautiful house. But only 1 key, no coffee machine, heating set high, reset - changed back by a.m, hot.

Beautiful house but flawed
We spent 5 nights at Ivy House. Firstly the good points - the house is meticulously cleaned and a lot of love and attention has gone into the careful restoration of the property. The beds were super comfortable and the location was good for the sea and high street.
There were some negatives though. Having paid for a 5 night stay there was no welcome pack at all. Half a jar of instant coffee and some 2025 congealed milk sachets together with 5 mini Heros chocolates didnt really impress. A £100 nespresso machine should be a added for a property of this quality. Oddly, although the house sleeps 8, there is only seating in the TV living room for 3 - a 2 seater stiff sofa and a chair. There were only 3 of so we managed but a larger group wanting to chill with a movie at night would not be able.
Lastly, there was an uncomfortable feeling with CCTV cameras in the garden and one in the house (lens covered but not sure about audio). Also there were little notes everywhere about dos and donts which puts one on edge - I had the feeling that the owners put so much time and effort into the house that they are panicking about letting it out - I think you either do or you don't.
Oh and last thing which was annoying, the parasol and cushions for the outside seating were locked away in the owners shed, which meant we couldnt sit outside in the sunshine with no shade until 7pm.
So a lovely clean and aesthetically beautiful house but it needs to be relaxed a little (and get a coffee machine)

Wonderful Stay - Gorgeous Home
Such a stunning home in the perfect location in Deal. We were very lucky with weather and was able to enjoy the gorgeous garden. The home was perfect for our group, with the options of multiple rooms with twin beds. Incredibly comfortable, well situated and very well maintained. You can see the love that has gone into this gorgeous home. Thanks again!
